Feel a bit bad for both daly and furbank. They have the unmistakable air of men who know they don't belong at this level

The commentators saying this is probably England's best match....
If this is them playing well, I wouldn't want to see them playing poorly.
They don't watch much rugby, do they?

Dupont rightly gets the headlines but for me Fickou is the heartbeat of this terrific French team
He is the heart of the defence but you have Marchand, Aldritt, Villiere and Cros who are almost impossible to get past too.

England are looking much better with Randall on the field.
The speed of delivery is an Arctic summer away from Youngs.
It doesn't matter though if you pick a set of backs like Eddie does.

Not even close. I’m sure Eddie will find a suitable excuse that shows they’d have won if only he’d been given absolute control over the planet.

They're not wrong.
Last week's performance against Ireland had a certain battling against the odds, valiant rear guard quality to it, but that had as much to do with Ireland being crap for 60 minutes as anything else.
This is the most coherent we've looked all tournament and it's still pretty poor.
France are deserved winners, they've suffocated us for the most part and only been threatened here and there.

Helped by
- Dupont being injured in the run up and having an off game
- Aldritt having been ill all week (and should not have played) and so absent around the park.... which meant Suitcase Jelonch left Cros on his own in the backrow
- Ntamack's insistence in kicking everything right after the one time he didn't kick, France score a try
It won't happen again.

Congrats France. Clearly the best team this year.
Jones hasn't a clue how to use the resources he has and our game plan hasn't progressed. He would rather stick to fading players than adapt the game plan to suit those coming through,

With the exception of Youngs, who was dog shit as usual, the England players did better than I expected. They were still hampered by too many players out of position and the lack of an effective midfield, but it could (and probably should) have been much worse.
Congratulations to France, much the better team and a well-deserved Grand Slam.

If France can avoid a Ireland 2019 style collapse in form they are surely gonna be the 2nd NH RWC champs. Their defence is just so good.
