So I bought Cyberpunk and somehow I was lucky enough not to get any serious bugs (few floaty cars here and there, a couple of people walking thru closed doors but that was about it.
So the Positives. The visual atmosphere is amazing, the characters are great, the city itself is gigantic and overall it's a decent game,
HOWEVER, it's nowhere near as good as advertised. The main story is shorter than Shane Williams. For those of you who played the Witcher 3 imagine if it ended after the bloody baron and that's about how long the story is in CP77. I thought I was still in the early game when it prompted me about the final mission and that's including all the side character storylines. Some stories even feel like they're missing content, I'm almost certain they were gutted to save time. Also, the city feels a bit dead, NPCs are mostly empty placeholders that don't feel real so it constantly breaks immersion. first-person driving is awful, you can't see the road over your own dashboard most of the time. Radar sucks because it's zoomed in so far by the time you see a corner you're guaranteed to crash. If anyone is planning on buying, maybe wait until some DLCs come out and the game is properly finished. It has makings of an amazing game but It needs a lot more content to feel worth it honestly.

Bit put off by the £55 price tag, especially since it seems like most the changes were done by mods already.
Nice to have it all in one place though. Think I'll just wait 4 years until it's dirt cheap. Then not play it anyway.

I couldn’t believe that the final mission happened so soon, either. However, afterwards I realised that I had barely scratched the surface of the side mission content. I was level 23. Now I’m level 42, I’ve got about 90 hours played, and I’ve still got plenty missions left.
What I can’t understand is why they didn’t make the final mission much higher level.

Total Warhammer 3 trailer dropped. Was pretty good. I'm not that interested in Chaos, though introducing the demons should make the more interesting opponents. Very much interested in Kislev, looks like they've nailed the aesthetic and you can't argue with polar bear cavalry. Would like to see some Cathay stuff asap, they're creating it basically from scratch since there were never any tabletop models to base the faction on and minimal lore.

Do. I thought I was interspersing the main missions with side content, but the main campaign is actually pretty short. If you do the final mission as soon as it pops, you can miss an absolute shit-ton of content, including pretty much the entire quest arcs of all the main characters (Panam, River, Kerry and Judy). Given that completing these arcs gives you different options for how the end plays out, it’s slightly bizarre that they let you tackle the end so early. They could simply have made the final mission level 40 or so - it’s supposed to be you going up against a megacorporation and their most dangerous operative, after all - and changed V’s story arc so that most of the game was about you getting powerful enough to take it on.

I still haven't done the first 'heist'.
Mainly just wondering around getting into side jobs and police bounty hunts - I am going for a stealth/hacker playthrough.

So I know there's at least one other person out there with a vr headset. Just wanted to give a recommendation to Gorilla Tag. It's early access at the moment, if you have a quest you need to load it with sidequest. But it's a lot of fun, and seems like it could be a decent social game rather than all about the actual game. Controls are ridiculously simple, but can lead to some really fun outcomes.
As usual, plenty of kids playing and talking bollocks, but I believe you can setup your own rooms, and there are mute options anyway (not sure how you work out who's who though...).

Xbox game pass ultimate now includes the basic ea play package for pc as well, loads of star wars, command and conquer and other games.
Have to say that I'm not seeing much more than a decent reskin of CKII so far.
It's a lot more approachable and less arcane than CK2 for sure.
Who have you played so far?
I'm busy away on tutorial island with my home province.
UI is a bit more intuitive but it took me 15-20 mins to figure out how to send a marriage proposal!
Honestly just carried on after the tutorial and had a blast as a complete newbie who tried and failed to get into CK2.

I tried and failed CK2 as well. Tried CK3 after watching someone play it through (not too serious though), easily got into it. However, I still have no clue how I had 4+ generations where I kept all my land as senior leader (always made sure my heir was the majority vote), did the same again, easily had the most votes on my heir for leader of the empire and house (or whatever it's called), and somehow found myself with my empire cut into 4+ pieces, with my empires lands scattered all over the place.
Got put off at that point and stopped playing, but I wouldn't say I'd never play again, and I'd put a lot of hours in until that point.
EA play has now officially been added to xbox ultimate for PC. Started playing dragon age origins again.

I've played literally nothing for the last 6 months or so other than World of Warships. Bordering on an addiction now.

CK3 gavelkind aka Confederate partition comes with a nasty sting now.
I used to avoid the worst of gavelkind by having one duchy title while keeping a load of count vassels. That way, siblings would end up being vassals that I could deal with later.
Now the game automatically creates a new duchy and gives it to your sibling when the liege dies. Was a bit frustrated to find that I'm one county short- of forming kingdom of Ireland as a result, having spent ages building up the cash.

On the other hand, if you're vastly outnumbered in a war, setting up at your capital and waiting for them to come to you seems to be a good way to win wars.

Played through the entirety of dragon age origins, building a character to play awakenings (which I've never played). Go to load awakenings for the 2nd time (just did like the very beginning), and it says there's a file missing :(. So disappointed I just uninstalled.
Now I've got jedi fallen order, just started that and have to say I'm just wishing I could play in VR, so many scenes would look so cool if I could actually look around. Got star wars squadrons downloaded as well, will play that once my boy is back in school so I can easily use the xbox controllers.
Finally, also played star trek bridge crew with a few guys from another forum, fun little game and looking forward to playing more!

Haven't been questing much recently due to having very little room with boxes etc in my play space. It's only getting worse today with the arrival of my new 5.1 speaker system. Plan on making the star trek thing semi regular, since it was a lot of fun, and then use the lounge for playing in, since there's more room there, it's also where the router is, so works for virtual desktop.

before I properly got into CK2 I was on my second or third play and was still randomly clicking stuff. after about an hour or two I randomly ended up as the holy roman emperor and managed to destroy the empire within a few years as all the vassals rebelled and formed small kingdoms. Still have no idea how the exact chain of events happened that made me emperor occurred.

Odd things happen in CK2
Playing Aquitaine, I eventually became a Cathar King.
Had half a dozen children and started giving the last few silly names.
A few years down the line, Snowdrop of the family Dahlia became King. All his numerous brothers dying .
Funnily enough he was gay but fathered a large number of children.

I probably wouldn't be able to resist doing that too, meet Nonanal of the family Aldehyde.

I mean WTF, what kind of no life owns 25k games?

I saw that too. Steam has about 50k games on its books, so you’d need to own literally half of them. Apparently there are about 40 accounts that do.
I suspect they are probably owned by magazines, or people who work in the industry.

So my hotas one arrived earlier than expected. Got it all setup (a bit of jitter, I was expecting it). Set the pc up to play audio through my 5.1 system, rather than the quest 2 headset audio. Set star wars squadrons up, loaded the practice map up to fly around, switched to VR mode, and spent 30 minutes giggling to myself as I flew around a load of star destroyer debris. Absolutely bloody brilliant. Amazing. Now I just need to get over the awe/fun inspired giggling, so I can actually do some more missions!

Okidoki, d/l'd Outriders on Xbox Game Pass - because I'm old, and yes I'm playing it on story mode (of course), but I have to say that I'm really enjoying it. Absolute cheese main characters, yet the storyline is massively enjoyable, the dialogue is wonderfully cliched, and I just love it because of that. No lag, server seems stable, and its just a blast blastio blast! Managed to blag a £1 forever GamePass at Xmas, so this is a real steal.
