A fresh squid tube halved, scored, dressed in olive oil, chilli and garlic then briefly seared over very hot charcoal is delicious. Pre-prepared calamari rings not so much.
Cut a couple into rings last night and marinated in sumac and olive oil before cooking on the griddle and then tossing with grapefruit, pomegranate, coriander and mint. Fantastic

Gefilte fish.
Can't eat raw tomatoes, I presume there's some chemical in them that I react to, makes me wretch, seemingly broken down with heat. Sundried tomatoes can go either way, I guess depending on how long/hot they were dried.
Sprouts aren't nice. Neither is eggplant, but hate is too strong a word. Beetroot too.
I do enjoy a lot of things others wouldn't touch though. Brain is delicious on toast, spinal cord is lovely, liver, kidney, testicle etc all good. Though I don't think the testicle I tried was cooked well, it certainly gave me the thought that done well, it could be wonderful. Chicken stomach was the best bit of the meat when it was a freshly slaughtered (and not calmly done) chicken in the middle of nowhere.
Been looking into growing my own insects for consumption.

Pine nuts. Can’t eat them. My mouth goes all itchy, numb, tingly and makes me want to scrap the roof of it out with a stick. All at the same time.

This, I agree with. The rest of you are palestines.
(Though there are but few paths to successful broccoli).
Hundreds of different types of tofu, from hard texture, to melt in you mouth. Even the fermented ones do not have a strong taste, but lovely flavours, and sauces to go with. Probably the food I miss most from living in Asia.

My wife’s father makes tofu with no additives or chemicals or taste boosters. We eat it several times a week.

I’ll defend the eating of Brussel Sprouts to the end of my days.
Food that does nothing for me: aubergine, broccoli, green beans, courgettes, and marrow.

I'm a bit strange - I love tripe, brussel sprouts, avocado and brocoli. I will eat cauliflower raw. I will eat most things happily.
However, kale is the stuff they feed you in hell. Broad beans can join that. Celery I can tolerate in a vege soup but no other way.
And kina is a quick way of saying shit in a sea slug.

Definitely with you on broad beans. They are like little pellets of green-coloured vomit.

I guess it depends on how it's prepared. I'll eat everything if it's done right and even some if it's not. But there's a few that I just won't touch if badly cooked .
Broccoli, especially if freezer burned (better raw anyways)
Cauliflower, especially if freezer burned
Brussel sprouts
Cabbage, prefer it raw in a slaw, but will eat if cooked right
Spinach, hate it creamed but will eat if cooked with potatoes, onions and some pepper
Egg plant (aka satans vrug) I will not touch no matter how it's done.

Cheese.
The smell of it already makes me gag and if there is a block of cheese on the table while I'm having breakfast - I'm not having breakfast anymore.
I survive melted cheese on a pizza or lasagna, as long as it is in moderation and not the slabs that most delivery types favour. Much prefer mozzarella as a topping.
I'll eat most other stuff, but not cheese. Boak.

Cake with fruit in it*
*whole raisins or currents ETC suspended in the mixture.
This precludes most forms of classic Christmas puddings - but its not the 1870's anymore we have access to chocolate, cheesecake and other deserts - spiced fruit is no longer the limit of our desert ambitions.

My food list I hate is quite small - marmite, beetroot, stinky cheeses on the flavour side of things, for me it’s more about texture : quinoa, fish with bones in, fatty lamb mince, ice cream with bits in, most soup, crisps - anything that can hurt if you bite into it the wrong way or eating quickly.
Some food I’m not keen on raw like apples or carrots, but love them cooked and with other things.

Very rare to meet someone who hates all cheese - the smelly French stuff is a acquired taste (but I love it) but even the cheap and hasty stuff melted over junk food has its time and place.

Coconut flesh. It makes my teeth squeak. Even in biscuits.
Kale is grown to feed cows, not people.
Overcooked vegetables
Okra was described as snot from the ground. I agree with that.
And I don’t eat any seafood including crustaceans and all fish.

Kale is nice roasted , tastes like Almonds.
I dont like it steamed or boiled though , tastes like grass
I’m lucky in that I like eating greens, bar Sprouts which are shite

There's a few things on this thread that I used to agree with but have changed my mind since I've had them cooked for me in different ways. I used to be vehemently opposed to courgettes, aubergine and kale but since I've had them grilled or roasted I've completely changed my mind about them.
I totally agree about satan's testicles though (brussels sprouts) - nothing can make those palatable to me, not even frying them with bacon
Not liking macaroni & cheese is alien to me, a cold mac & cheese pie is god's gift to hangovers.

I like most cuisines, but sushi is just bland and horrible and cold. And if it does have flavour, it's often too much vinegary

I know a slim young girl who got pregnant and got a craving for jam. She was ordered at around 6 months by her doctor to go on a diet because she had gained a huge amount of excess weight!

As I have got older my tastes have broadened hugely. Even a decade ago if you had said I would have willingly made and ate an aubergine and tomato sauce for pasta I would have told you to do one.
My mother in law does a delicious prawn and okra curry, when the pandemic finally ends I am going to invite myself round for some.
However, I still cannot stand strong or oily fish. Mackerel is an absolute no no for me, for example. Love seafood, though.

I heard a story like that when I joined the coaching staff of a uni women's team. On the day the main coaches talked to the team about nutrition, etc. one of them talked about making smart choices, being aware of added sugar, etc. To emphasise the point, the grumpy old forwards coach said: "You all remember X who graduated last year? Well a few months after this same lecture a few years ago, we learned that for 'dairy' she was only eating ice cream bars. That.doesn't.count!"

When I was a kid there were quite a lot of foods I didn't like, notably tomatoes. My parents were impatient with all that: "You'll learn to like it". Well, they were right, I did, and now I don't think there's any food properly prepared from fresh ingredients that I won't enjoy.
Meanwhile I learned later that were any number of foods my parents didn't like, they just never appeared in the house.
