Did ireland give the UK nothing. Tut tut.
The Greece-Cyprus incestuous love in is quite embarrassing.
A lot of the (jury) countries aren't doing as bad as they used to.
Poor James Newman, but it wasn't a great song, and his singing wasn't great either.

All of this so far is jury votes. We have to go through the whole thing again with public votes

No idea what the hell was going on there with the voting at the end but im proud of my picks!
Poor ole engerland. Were they being punished for brexit or do they alway get nul points.
That father ted gif would be great now. If it was the UK.

Only heard a bit of the song but seems like another attempt at bland generic Europop to appeal to "everyman". We might as well go with a death metal or grindcore and at least sound a bit different.
Yep. It's definitely harder for the Western European countries to get the strategic/neighbour votes. The UK and Ireland being islands doesn't help, and Brexit hasn't done the UK any further favours obviously!tabascoboy wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 12:25 pmOnly heard a bit of the song but seems like another attempt at bland generic Europop to appeal to "everyman". But in the last 5 years or so winners have included Portugal, The Netherlands and now Italy, so it can be done. You just need a very strong theme/song/singer/setting - ideally all 4, combined with luck and momentum.
But a generic pop song sung by a mediocre vocalist with little theme or set dressing isn't going to get you anywhere.
