Wow....You are actually wanting to do it.......nooooooooooooooooooo......lets see the Sharks team sheet...I hear they are looking at playing a second string side against WP.......
For someone who works with steel, you have absolutely none of it.

Look if the Sharks are going to go easy on WP and give them an in....its not really a fair bet...lets see the team they put out...
This is the hold that WP have over the saarks, that ingrained fear. It's a home game for you, a team in top form, but here you are, scratching for excuses.

Agreed....But the Sharks have been known to be a very reasonable side and have shown charity to the likes of the Pumas....this could be another charity display from them. Fortunately us Sharkies are not rabid hounds willing to piss against any leg...even the one that kicks them.

I tell you what boet, have a look at your team, have a look at my team, look at all the permutations and then let me know if you still want to go ahead. I might even throw in a 3 point handicap.

It looks like the Scots have fucked up; as per usual

Wales have FTA games on BBC Wales, & S4C. Ireland have FTA games on TG4, & RTE, & BBC NI for Ulster ... and Scottish fans will have to stump up for tickets; or pay for a Premier sport subscription ......

For any Saffas; that means if you get yourselves a VPN; you can probably use the various online options for these broadcasters, & watch most of your away games FTA !

That'd be normal; this is the timeframe that the NH teams will play the local derby matches around Christmas, so no-one has to travel too far; & its usually the worst of the weather too.

It's great how pragmatic the opening fixtures are with regards to isolation requirements. The organisers have given the Sharks an opening fixtures in Ireland on the 26th Sep to avoid isolation when arriving from SA after winning the Currie Cup on the 11th Sep. Same with finalist runners up the Bulls playing Leinster.

Whilst the semi final/non-qualifying teams (WP and Lions) will have plenty of time to isolate in peace in Italy before playing Zebre and Treviso.

Bit surprising how it all worked out, but a result I guess of leaving it to the last once the CC finalists were confirmed.

I presume follow local laws at this stage rather than be more judicious. No point being high and mighty anymore.

When in the UK and Ireland at least no need to isolate or restrict yourself unless you have a positive result yourself, for those fully vaxxed. I'm assuming at that stage UK gov will finally have acknowledged that Pfizer/J&J jabs administered elsewhere from US/Canada/EU are also valid.

So shouldn't be too much disruption.

I was more thinking about what if there are to many positives to field a team. Will the opposit team get log points?

I am with Sards on this one, as are many others.

They are a complete and utter rip-off. Even before you talk about Supersport, the quality of shows (and pricing) when compared to Netflix, Showmax, Amazon Prime, etc. is embarrassing. They have a business model that is stuck in the 1990s, which is why they continue to lose subscribers and continue to put their prices up.

They have a total monopoly on broadcasting rugby and thanks to that the quality is awful from the camerawork to the standard of commentary to presenting. Their pricing model for Supersport might not dent your wallet, but they have done incredible damage to the growth of the game in South Africa by making it an elite sport on the few can afford to watch in their home.

The sooner someone comes and disrupts this model with a pay per view or affordable streaming service, the better. I for one would love to see DSTV crash and burn.

I've always maintained that I'll consider DSTV's services if they unbundle their product. I'm not paying for 200 odd channels of rubbish if I'm only ever going to view 3 or 4 at most. They can hold some other dumb chumps at ransom with rugby but they're not going to catch me.

I'm happy to pay my R 900 odd for the sport and the wife's Afrikaans content. I'm going to disagree on the camerawork, when it comes to sport production, Supersport is right up there.

Re growth of the game, that's on them, I pay for a tv service and I'm getting a great product.

The production is terrible. Compared to what other places are doing like Sky and BT in the UK, it's years behind. The only person worth listening to is Nick Mallet, the rest of them are just yes-men. The camara work is piss-poor, especially during the Lions series. The lack of replays during the match was terrible.

Anyway, as long as you're happy with the shit your paying for

Re growth of the game, that's on them, I pay for a tv service and I'm getting a great product.
The production is terrible. Compared to what other places are doing like Sky and BT in the UK, it's years behind. The only person worth listening to is Nick Mallet, the rest of them are just yes-men. The camara work is piss-poor, especially during the Lions series. The lack of replays during the match was terrible.

Anyway, as long as you're happy with the shit your paying for
I've got no lagging, no buffering, a top class production. Super happy thanks.

How much are you paying for internet? And then not able to watch everything.

I pay the equivalent of R300 per month for my internet.
I used to pay $20 a month for Rugbypass, but they figured out all of my VPNs so had to ditch that which was a shame as it was fantastic.
Now I stream games. It is surprisingly easy these days and all of the games are available in HD. Also good for the cricket and F1. But if another streaming service came along I'd happy jump onto that.

I watch every South African match on DSTV streaming from other sites and have access to every other rugby match around....DSTV cant match that.
The shows are an abortion....you have to wait every week for the next episode dangling like a fish on a hook , whereas I can binge watch any show I want.....

I would be keen to jump on something that has all the sport and when I'm guaranteed to have zero buffering.

Buffering....nah....sometimes you lose your connection and have to go back into it but its a minor annoyance compared to the optioins avaiable

Figured what out? Certain shows that my family watch are only on DSTV and I love the sports channels. DSTV is never down, you've got catch up and Showmax for free. You can record when you're not at home. You can watch DSTV on your device when not at home.

Cannot see my ditching DSTV anytime soon.

With all the different internet packages on the market these days you should not have any buffering. Most people have internet anyways for other stuff, might as well use it for watching TV. Rain has a 5G premium unlimited home package on special for the first 3 months at R699. It's normally R1000.00, I pay R479 for mine but that's because we only have 4G coverage and I already had a router. I don't suffer any buffering or lag. Anyways, smart TV's just makes it easier to stream than to sign up for a DSTV contract. I can sign and cancel subscriptions when and were I please without any hassle.
