Pity they are persisting with Kriel on the wing and not getting Nkosi or Fassi in there.
Also think Elton Jantjies is a bit hard done by as he had a decent showing against Scotland.
Happy with the rest.

Think England are going to be up for it though. Hope our forwards don't go into the match overconfident.
I'm expecting Itoje to have a blinder with his back against the wall. He is just one of those players.
Jesse was fine against Scotland, so I'm not too unhappy with him there. Elton should have played with Pollard out of form. Frans needs to start in Willie's place.

The forward battle is going to be immense.

Jessie was...fine. He didn't mess up, and he covered the back well in defense 2 or 3 times, so no real complaints. Just wish we had an attacking threat out wide.
Hopefully that statement is enough to tempt the mockers gods into giving him a try this weekend

Elton was good I felt. He missed that tackle on Duhan which led the Scots' first try, but other than that I thought he did quite well.

There is so much bulk and power in that forwards pack. The only way to avoid them is to duck and run faster.

Maybe, but we're still likely to lose both set pieces. If he goes with Curry at 8 again we'll have a weird mismatched back row with no real way to break SA open, Youngs' service is going to get Smith killed, and we'll rock up to play SA with a hastily thrown together midfield because Eddie's never considered that maybe Farrell's job could be done by someone other than Farrell.

It'll be like the Scotland game at best - England obviously outclassed but hopefully putting up a real fight. If we're lucky, we'll come out of it knowing that the future players like Smith, Steward, etc are able to mix it with the big boys.

I know you all love Frans, but when he waddled onto the pitch on Saturday he looked about as far away from an international rugby player as it’s possible to be. If he is given any longer than 15 minutes at 15 he’ll be run ragged chasing after kicks

Not sure on the second one, it wasn't the best series in terms of quality of rugby, but a Lions series is always epic.
