Might have spanner thrown in the works - we're waiting on a PCR test on my 22 month old old Grandaughter - she had contact with a case at Nursery and had a bit of a cough yesterday. We'll be gutted if we can't share Xmas with her and her 5 year old sister. Might have to set up an alternative Xmas Day.

Kylemore Abbey is nice. Drive out to Clifden and do the Sky Road. Go for a hike up Diamond Hill near Kylemore. You could do both in tge same day if you got there early. Just driving around that part of the world is nice so even the coast road put by Leenane up into Mayo is lovely.

We're off to Mull in August, booked a spa hotel so the Mrs can occupy herself whilst I take our dog up Ben More. The beaches looking absolutely gleaming.

Got a few nights away in Dumfries and Galloway next week as a belated birthday present. Might look at somewhere for late June/July

Jocks, any recommendations for family activites near Ayr? Ive 3 kids, the eldest being 7 and the youngest is 3.

As we are having to take my MiL as well, we are getting the boat to Cairnryan and they are driving up while I'm going to cycle it. Is it a decent area for cycling? Any epic road climbs worth doing?
