The French winger looks terrific

I could have posted that at any time in the history of rugby, almost.

7 - 14

Always so impressed with how mature these guys are.

It is a pity the A's are gone, as players like Gleeson will now drop into the background for maybe 2-3 years, before he stands a chance of getting a full International cap.

31 - 37 FT

Fecking epic game, down in Aix

Gleeson, Murphy, Gavin were all outstanding.

The French were beasts too, & that winger is electric, & their starting SH was so much better than Lucu last night

General comment on the underage players. Quite a few of them are having to drop a few kg when they get to adult level to have the aerobic fitness needed. Andrew Porter is an excellent example of this. He's about 5kg lighter now that he was at 20's.

Gavin is a huge prospect and comes along at just the right time to take over from Aki.

Some good stuff hoping the french get to See Hugo Reus and Marko Gazzoti back during the 6 nations (they got sent back to their clubs due to a lot of injuries in their squad).

Posolo Tuilagi is still elligible for U20 so I hope he gets to play in his second World cup :).

Edit the FFR wants the U20 6 nations moved to help free the youngsters from club commitment.

That's part of the weakness 30 + clubs and a week to prep.

The Jiff has made all the difference with clubs now taking more risks with an upcoming kid rather than a tired old ex international.

and why can't the Top14 not yield for once, & stop demanding everyone else dance to their tune ?

let the fuckers compensate the clubs in the other five Countries if they want to move the fucking comp !

The french clubs pay the wages of a lot of tier 2 nations players (these also play in their own 6N) there is not many kids playing club instead of national team however moving it would help some (not many).

Not sure I agree with a move it's a bit greedy but does make sense.

He was at LI. Played U19s for Eng last year but didn't pick up a prem Academy contract in the summer after LI collapsed.

Utility back (mainly FB). Nice to see him still involved

Pollock is really impressive - just wonder why he isn't a centre rather than a flanker.

Further to that story, Ollie Blyth-Lafferty was not allowed to play on Friday night because there is a world rugby ruling that he is too young - I get that player safety is paramount, Scotland and Edinburgh (and presumably Glasgow) do a neck strength test for props to ensure they are physically able to play, but WR don't recognise it. He's been playing against grown men in the Super 6 all season.

Anyway, it's a huge blunder by the Scottish back office team, they should have known the rules.

As far as I can gather it's all players, he's younger than I thought, he's 17. The irony being that he would've been the biggest player in either front row and he's been playing adult rugby all season. He's 18 in a couple of months and he can play then.
