Very surprised Scotland got that turnover penalty, would have bet what little I have left Dempsey would have been pinged

There was no way that was a penalty to Scotland.TheNatalShark wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 2:27 pm Very surprised Scotland got that turnover penalty, would have bet what little I have left Dempsey would have been pinged
That try comes from a penalty to scotland where a "Scottish" player roles into the Italian players trying to clear out.ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 2:27 pmAnd when he works that out he can have a go at Scottish offsides or not rolling away from the ruck.

That's twice where Italy have gone on the blind side... where Scotland outnumbered them. No heads up
The Scotttish player already had hands on the ball and survived the 1st Italian hitting the ruckpetej wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 2:30 pmThat try comes from a penalty to scotland where a "Scottish" player roles into the Italian players trying to clear out.ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 2:27 pmAnd when he works that out he can have a go at Scottish offsides or not rolling away from the ruck.

Scrabbling around on his hands and knees also helped.Big D wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 2:34 pmThe Scotttish player already had hands on the ball and survived the 1st Italian hitting the ruckpetej wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 2:30 pmThat try comes from a penalty to scotland where a "Scottish" player roles into the Italian players trying to clear out.ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 2:27 pm

Italy still get minnow reffing.
For the second player arriving, by which time the penalty offence had been committed. The 1st Italian had a clear unimpeded shot at Fagerson.
Edit: plus Gardner is an awful ref.

Horne is having a shocker in my opinion. Wild passes, expecting too much protection from ref and that really poor pen

Italy still too inaccurate and lacking penetration at crucial moments.
Menoncello and Brex has the makings of a cracking centre partnership.

He's letting Italians fly off their feet to clear out and at one point after a counter ruck come from the side and pick it up.
Hardly surprising one of the worst refs in international rugbyb isn't very good.
Agree, he’s slowing everything down with his wild serviceTheNatalShark wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 2:56 pm Horne is having a shocker in my opinion. Wild passes, expecting too much protection from ref and that really poor pen

Decent half of rugby, you hardly notice breaks in play when you switch to watching sex tourism by western 50 somethings at the bar.
Italy are so frustrating to watch, they do 90% right then do something colossally stupid that was totally avoidable. The Christie interception being case in point

Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember with advantages, What feats he did that day
They got 3 points out of that thoughPaddington Bear wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 3:09 pm Decent half of rugby, you hardly notice breaks in play when you switch to watching sex tourism by western 50 somethings at the bar.

True, but it's also less than they expected, but keep it on the vacation threadsturginho wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 3:11 pmThey got 3 points out of that thoughPaddington Bear wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 3:09 pm Decent half of rugby, you hardly notice breaks in play when you switch to watching sex tourism by western 50 somethings at the bar.

Yeah, I just find professional sport increasingly fake/plastic. More akin to WWE sports entertainment though with less spandex. Players like Finn Russell are fighting a losing battle against soullessness and money. The best league in the world tm in football being won 6 out of the last 7 times by a team funded by an autocratic state with 114+ charges against it.

Despite Italy making plenty of mistakes, you just get a feeling Scotland won't do enough to take proper advantage
Left hand down a bit
