Weeell it's Premiership rugby Jim, but not as we know it.

du Preez's kicking is embarrassing, surely that can't be blamed on lockdown. Sale by far the rustier but have the edge up front if they can get their act together.

Looks like a classic Quins second half, in that we forget we are playing a game of rugby.

He's brilliant. Wasn't keen on him at first, but the more I've heard him speak and seen him play, the more I like him.
Far more entertaining sense of humour than the likes of Haskell etc.

If I had a pound for every line out Quins fucked up from 5m I would be able to donate sufficient funds to earn a PPE contract.

Although that worked!

Instant shepherd’s crook for the cross-field kick in your own 22. Proper coaching.

Edit: or was that just Hammersley stalking off after his card?

Quins control at the base of the scrum has been piss weak from both 8s. Hard session in training coming up.

Is that TV only, or is it on the PA in the stadium?
Heard the commentators talking about it earlier, but I wasn't paying attention.

We poach only the finest South African beef. Keep that flashy stuff.
Look more like Saffer has beens to nite. Pretty disappointing stuff from Coenie and his fellow x SA Sharks.

Well. If ever a team looked like the players had never seen each other before tonight. Definitely too many saffas.

So we have penalties instead of rucks... how long did that last for in super atororoea?

Well I for one am hugely surprised that a rugby match played in the rain by people playing for the first time in 4 months was a bit ordinary

Still, nice to see the vaunted Sale pack and midfield sent packing. Owned them in the tight and at the breakdown. Job done.

Brown passed 3 times btw - the same number of times the entire Sale back 3 passed all day - and made more metres than anyone else on the pitch. Great to see him back after such a long layoff.

Gosh McGuigan is one-dimensional, isn't he? Just offers nothing except pointless aggro and ill discipline...

Stupid thing is we could have won that if RdP hadn't missed from in front of the posts, then brain farted that kick to Brown.

Saffa forwards were shite except Jono. Bunch of show ponies.

I expect a Steve Diamond ass-kicking will be in order. A few strong carries aside, Sale's forwards didn't make much impression on us. I was wrong in my expectation that the Quins backs wouldn't see much ball but they looked OK.

I also noticed that Diamond went with his usual 'blame the ref' approach when asked about the penalties Sale were giving away. It makes it feel like things are back to normal.

I did enjoy the " half the penalties against us were harsh and we talked to the refs and they said it wouldn't be like this... but we're not going to whinge."

Great to see NH Rugby has restarted! I didn't watch the game (not sure it's even televised here in Australia) but just the fact that Rugby is back is very comforting. Were any spectators permitted (socially distanced) or was it an empty stadium?
