Play the man, not the ball - yes tick.Rule fail.

General dickhead insult - yes tick. Rule fail.

Breach of the rules:
Whilst we encourage banter, as a general rule, if you cant say it to to someones face or in public in real life then don't say it here.
Yes tick, because if you were standing in front of me you'd be too gutless to say it to my face.

Mod's,you must now ban this poster for clear breach of the rules.

The bar is set to a level where the mods would intervene. It is well above the post that you are complaining about.

This forum is for grown-up people.

So moron is OK? Meaning its Ok to call other posters cretins, imbeciles, idiots, dullards, and like terms?

What if we add a precursor such as complete, utter, or the like?. A swearword?

Why do you bother publishing rules, if you aren't going to enforce them?

Maybe your translation of them is far too literal - Understandable I suppose given your training etc... I recommend a chill pill and a big breath - that's what we do and it generally works OK.

Nor am I, given that I put him on ignore ages ago.

We don't need acidic negative little grubs like you on this thread. Go somewhere else and talk about NZ rugby you tiresome piece of shit.
Is this not the same thing you are complaining about?

We try to take a pragmatic and grown up approach to moderation here, maybe the fault is mine and instead of calling them rules, call them guidelines instead which would allow for some common sense application, I will take that as constructive feedback from you, thanks.

Until recently there was an appreciably more chilled vibe here which was great.

Very few threads had descended into two posters coming up with lame insults to each other, or talking around each others points in the guise of debate. There was a lot of actual discussion

That's boutique forumming. Collision Point was like that, just a few regulars getting along really well despite major differences of opinion. But it always turned nasty when seagulls from PR showed up throwing puffed up egos around.

Aside from the odd poster behaving like a pork chop this place generally has a great Mediterranean vibe about it, compared to the angry London that was PR.

Loving this place.

This place feels like the conversations had between pints/round 3 and 6. For me that’s the sweet spot of a night out. Relaxed, but not pissed.

PR got to the point where we were in the curry house after an all dayer, arguing about who could handle the hottest curry and taking the piss out of the twat eating a korma and peshwari naan.

I like the way even if you’re not logged in, you can click quote (quickly log in) then it goes straight to writing response to quoted post.

On PR you had no quote button unless you’re already logged in. So if you find a post you want to respond to you need to login and then go through the thread again to find the post you wanted to respond to, and then click quote.

The image auto size thing is a winner too.

I hope you die of cancer at the well tended Cooks Gardens, Wanganui.
Perhaps I’m unduly sensitive given the people I have lost to this foul disease but I sincerely think that “I hope you die of cancer” is the lowest and most despicable thing that can be said to another human being. Not fucking funny.
