Bit marginal with the player in front of him.

Not sure that can count as same maul, looked like daylight between Arous and Chat which means the former was simply blocking.

Mauls thanks to break aways are hard enough to defend, but he had 4 feet of air between him and chat. Nigel is making a mockery of this, he needed to be put to pasture years ago

No one likes to agree with Austin, but he was spot on there. Nige is jokeshop.

WTF is Nigel asking about. Penalty try and yellow card? For a knock on?

That was not a deliberate knock on. And I want R92 to win this but FFS.

Tough to call it deliberate.Raggs wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:27 pmOne handed and knocks the ball down to ground?ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:26 pm That was not a deliberate knock on. And I want R92 to win this but FFS.
He waves one hand in front of the ball. It may have been instinct, but you can't do that.ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:30 pmTough to call it deliberate.Raggs wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:27 pmOne handed and knocks the ball down to ground?ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:26 pm That was not a deliberate knock on. Nige is a bloody awful ref though.

"Hands away"
Gives the pen for the turnover.
As someone supporting Exeter, FFS Nige.

He made decisions that benefitted Racing earlier. Been inconsistent with both.

Nowt like a bit of farce to wrap up proceedings.
Think Nige needs to be retired from the top level now. I thought he probably would be with the new breakdown interpretations, he's still just doing his own thing, and now it's even in greater contrast.

Not when they were defending on their own line he didn't. Not all penalties are equal!sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:36 pm He made decisions that benefitted Racing earlier. Been inconsistent with both.
You need to watch the replay, he just runs back and goes straight in from the side. Right in front of Owens as well.

Wouldn't have been an issue if Russell knew how to drop a goal.

I don't need to re-watch anything, I already called that turnover out as a bad call.Kawazaki wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 5:41 pmNot when they were defending on their own line he didn't. A couple of Nige's calls directly lead to scoring field position for Racing and he didn't yellow card a Racing deliberate knock on far more blatant than Francis' one in the first half, so, yeah, he's disadvantaged both teams over the course of the game to a roughly equal extent.
