Chat can carry the ball, eh?
Bit marginal with the player in front of him.

Not sure that can count as same maul, looked like daylight between Arous and Chat which means the former was simply blocking.

Loose head running a blocking line, very poor refereeing
It's almost an accepted tactic these days sadly.

Nige is only interested in producing a superficially entertaining game.

Mauls thanks to break aways are hard enough to defend, but he had 4 feet of air between him and chat. Nigel is making a mockery of this, he needed to be put to pasture years ago

No one likes to agree with Austin, but he was spot on there. Nige is jokeshop.

Nige is fecking joker.
"No! No! Ruck formed!"
Then the exeter player doesn't stop, eventually turns it, and Nige lets it go.

WTF is Nigel asking about. Penalty try and yellow card? For a knock on?

He really is a done deal on this display. The Racing steal at the next one was well out as well and he pulled it back.

He waves one hand in front of the ball. It may have been instinct, but you can't do that.
Nige is a bloody awful ref though.

"Hands away"
Gives the pen for the turnover.
As someone supporting Exeter, FFS Nige.

Racing have been screwed by Nigel Owens. That penalty on the Exeter line was bizarre, he came straight in from the side and was arguably off his feet as well.

This is what you want from a final, two teams scoring in different ways, bags of tries, close as it can be, still all to play for in the 79th minute

Think Nige needs to be retired from the top level now. I thought he probably would be with the new breakdown interpretations, he's still just doing his own thing, and now it's even in greater contrast.

Not when they were defending on their own line he didn't. Not all penalties are equal!
You need to watch the replay, he just runs back and goes straight in from the side. Right in front of Owens as well.

I don't need to re-watch anything, I already called that turnover out as a bad call.
A couple of Nige's calls directly lead to scoring field position for Racing and he didn't yellow card a Racing deliberate knock on far more blatant than Francis' one in the first half, so, yeah, he's disadvantaged both teams over the course of the game to a roughly equal extent.
