A couple of very good crowds in today, over 25,000 at Eden Park and over 17,000 at FB.

Great stuff. Looking forward to tonight's southern derby. Scott Barrett's been left out as a precaution, but the very impressive Jamie Hannah comes in as his replacement. This young fella has a bright future imho, so the more game time he gets, the better. The Saders have him listed as 196cm, but he looks a bit bigger than that to me.

And it's Round 2 of the Havili Experiment at 10... can't wait!

Same. No idea why Drummond keeps getting starts. He's been average for years.

Crusaders rally need to sort out their discipline. Giving away penalties like it was trick and treat time at Halloween

Both 9s are a bit shit. Can’t find a way to do something useful/different.

Can't agree on Hotham, I thought he mixed it up quite well. Clan worked bloody hard for that victory and deserved it.

Ridiculous try at the end there. Defenders told to release because tackle made, attacking player flops forward to score the try. Shouldn’t be allowed.

Good effort by the Highlanders. Not many positives for the Saders to salvage from that. Their sorry season continues...

I think even the players are getting confused, waaay too many players picking up and going straight thru the rucks untouched…..

Loving the Tahs v Brumbies game! Being played in a swamp, both teams wearing the same strips, rain pissing down, everyone covered in mud, knock ons, players sliding 20 yards on the ground, spray being kicked up everywhere, tapped free kick not moving in the mud ... just brilliant! TBF skill levels are superb. 1 point game going into last 5 mins. I'd pay money to watch this .. shit I am!

So an Aucklander :shh:

Out of interest all teams still have a chance of making the finals, though the bottom three are really going to have to hope for results to fall their way.

Three rounds to go kids before the "finals" happen

My favourite moment was when someone - Turinui? - said "You'd need a snorkel to pick & go that".

Round 13 of 15 Folks

Friday

Canes v Pasifika - Canes to run away with this, though they have got a second team line up which might make it closer

Rebels v Chiefs - The Tribe should have way too much firepower for the bankrupt Rebs

Saturday

Drua v Reds - The Fijians need this one, but then so do the Reds ... Reds should have too much in the forwards

Brumbies v Crusaders - The Ponies are going to add to Crusader misery

Blues v Highlanders - Blues to run in a bonus point win in a training run

Force v Waratahs - Seriously going to back the Force here, that's how diabolically bad the Tahs have been in 2014.

I watched some of that and both teams tried hard, but were generally inaccurate.

The hardest part (besides Justin Marshal on comms) was the awful television coverage - hardly any replays and then usually of the wrong infringement that the ref blew up for.

Drua ahead 18-14 after an entertaining first half, enhanced by a typically boistrous crowd. Not a fan of the shouty PA guy, though.
