Head coach Leo Cullen has named his Leinster Rugby side, as sponsored by Bank of Ireland, to face the DHL Stormers at DHL Stadium on Saturday in Round 17 of the URC (KO 5.15pm Irish time – LIVE on RTÉ, Premier Sports and URC TV).

Cullen has opted to rotate the squad, introducing many of the 31-man touring squad who didn’t feature in last week’s contest with Cell C Sharks in Durban.

Academy scrum-half Cormac Foley will be making his first start for the province on his fourth appearance, partnered in the half-backs by Ciarán Frawley.

Outside them in midfield, Rory O’Loughlin shifts from the wing to centre while Jamie Osborne holds on to the number 13 shirt.

Max O’Reilly comes in at full-back where he is flanked by Adam Byrne and fellow Academy man Rob Russell.

Up front, John McKee and Thomas Clarkson remain where they are joined by Ed Byrne in the loosehead position.

Fresh from making his debut last week, Brian Deeny stays in the second row alongside Josh Murphy.

Rhys Ruddock captains the side from No 8 with Alex Soroka and Scott Penny completing the back row.

Michael Milne is named among the replacements as he hopes to make his first appearance of the season after recovering from injury.

There’s another opportunity for hooker Lee Barron from the bench, one of three players to make his debut against Sharks last weekend. Flanker Seán O’Brien is also set to make his first appearance of the season from the bench.

The coaching team will also be able to call upon Vakh Abdaladze, Jack Dunne, Nick McCarthy, Harry Byrne and Martin Moloney.

The Bulls have had very good second halves in the last few games. They're a frustrating team to watch. Slow starters. Glasgow will also face a bit of an altitude hit at 60 minutes.

This is only going to go one way.

The thing about the best Glasgow teams of recent years has been their fitness and how they always finished very strongly, playing high tempo for 80 minutes, this current iteration has not been doing that.

They have been the better team.

Glasgow have shown poor discipline, there were school boy penalties given in that half, and not just one or two, the side entry and changing bind in front the ref is stupid, and that was from the captain.

Add a couple of idiotic kicks and it's no wonder Bulls are in the lead, they deserve to be so

The teams will start getting used to travelling. Our guys were a bit intimidated on the first trip up North. For many of the young guys it would have been the first time out of the country. I think this will be great for Wales and Scotland. Wales and to a lesser extent Scotland have the playing resources to match Ireland if they get their shit in order. Playing SA sides will give them exposure to the most physical teams in rugby. South African domestic rugby will also benefit to the coaching riches in the NH leagues.

I grew up reading about the great Welsh players and teams. My dad had a Max Boyce record with the story about the Welsh flyhalf factory. I'm waiting patiently for Wales to join the uppermost tier of rugby where they belong. Also I played rugby in Aberystwyth while doing my MSC Agric.
