Anyone got the scoop on what's happening at Edinburgh? Rumours of a mutiny, Cockers going, a player being sacked!!
That sounds a bit nuts.
Thistle Rugby Podcast seem to have heard something.
They are the only people I’ve seen speculating, nobody else seems to have picked up on anything.

Nic Groom left the club "with immediate effect" yesterday, or perhaps the day before. That could be where the "player sacked" whispers are coming from.
There's nothing on TOL twitter feed and they would probably take delight in news like this.

Good although I do worry for him.
When I dislocated my shoulder I was a similar age and the specialist advised at that age there is a high likelihood (40-50%) it could happen again. At that point we agreed to put off surgery to see if it happened again.
Did the hard yards in rehab at the same physios that used to look after Scotland squads (think they have closed their business now), everyone was happy with progress and 3rd game back running to a ruck and bingo out it popped.
He will obviously have access to top medical care but hopefully they are just not kicking an issue further down the road.

You'd hope it'll be strengthened enough without the surgery. That said if it's a personal choice with the chance of a Lions cap looming I know which I'd go for.

If I was part of a very bored squad of players I'd be sorely tempted to set up bizarre leaks to the media left right and centre. Organised, with the others, to take the piss and amuse myself.

That’s the speculation, yes. I have seen absolutely zero evidence to support it, so it definitely falls into the wild speculation camp right now.

I’m definitely up for a bit of board related shenanigans. Anyone here have enough Twitter followers for instance to get a good rumour going? Something stupid, but believable? Maybe Mark Dodson was lined up as the CEO of the short lived super league or something!

Driving along the M8 with his arse out the window with a message on it written in biro saying "Cockers sucks dead dogs"?

Sixteen years ago a quite realistic looking Lions selection sheet may have been sent to the rugby chat group on Bloomberg by someone bearing my name.
Was quite surprised when it was circulated widely enough that it ended up covered not only in the Scotsman, but also the New Zealand Herald!

Given his personal experience of how that can go wrong, it wouldn't surprise me if Hogg has had a very specific conversation with him about potential consequences of driving like a pillock.

I thought so too. A few errors but with hardly any rugby behind some of them it isn't surprising.
Some players to be enthusiastic about in there.
