30 off 12 needed for the first 500 ODI score.

Slight mismatch this series.

Quite something to watch. Holland didn't even bowl that badly for the most part.

Yeah certainly didn't help. Just a little off the pace as you'd expect around the edges. Looks a lovely ground at Amstelveen

2022 NZ test cricket is bad cricket.

It feels like Williamson is never going to find form again.

It feels increasingly ridiculous that the computer knows whether it’s out or not but the players have to indulge in this bizarre game where they get 15 seconds to guess what the computer will say. Just let the computer call it.

... is only there to prevent the umpires from being sidelined completely. It's literally a sop to "well, the umpire couldn't be sure, could he"

They've been a revelation, and obviously like batting together. Imagine how much more shit some of our totals would've been without them.

I'm starting to agree with Simon Doull's view that perhaps he would be better if he were no longer the captain.

It's still a bit confusing but as long as we get the right decision then I am all for technology. Cricket is perfect for this.

I reckon that Kane is good enough to be Captain and world class batter - but something has changed over the last few seasons where his usually impeccable technique has just failed - perhaps being a Dad has taken a bit of his focus away?

If that is the case - then yeah - take the pressure of captaincy away and let him crack on with the run making. I would rather a slightly out of form Latham than an out of form Williamson.

Missing leg and an inside edge?!

Still, Mitchell was plumb on 9 so swings and roundabouts.

It's hard touring 3rd world countries.

But regardless of this - it is painful to see how awful modern day umpires are.

I wish the bowlers would obsess less about getting the ball changed. One negative of Stokes as captain, he's one of the worst about it - tries to get a ball changed when it's swinging around corners.

Is there no limit on the number of times the fielding team can ask the umpire to check the ball? England seem to be doing it close to once every over with the quickies.

Plan is clear but stupid. Bounce him out, buy the wicket. Cost 52 so far, not cheap.

Stokes seems to feel a) that you can’t get batters out with conventional bowling once the ball is 30+ overs old and b) that short stuff is the way to get tail enders out. I think both beliefs are stupid.
