Appendicitis has ended Crusaders wing George Bridge’s already injury hit Super Rugby season.

The 26-year-old had his appendix removed on Tuesday, a day after first complaining of soreness. His post-surgery recovery is expected to take between four and six weeks.

Bridge is also having his right-knee evaluated after hurting it attempting to deny Brumbies No 8 Rob Valetini at the death in Christchurch last weekend.

“He's had a bit of a tough run, old Georgie...that’s his comp [done],” Crusaders coach Scott Robertson said.

The only game that really matters: Blues v Waratahs.

Blues off to a strong start. Strong finishing for a try to Heem. Kick misses.

8-0 ten minutes in.

Tahs defence is rubbish but fortunately for them the Blues are fumbling everything... games a bit of a shambles to be honest.

And Blues in again after a knock on, a fumble a few turn overs a kick into the opponents... it’s all happening.

Zarn Sullivan seems such a tidy, intelligent, composed player.

Everything the Blues have traditionally not stood for.

And by that I mean, Zarn Sullivan kicks like Jesus.

EDIT: Bugger. Intercept try. 15-14.

Why would he be worried about dishing out another yellow immediately after the first one?

Even if he was, he can't apply a sympathy law.

Well, he just showed us that he can. And he carried on the sympathy with no card for the penalty try.

Ridiculous stuff. How do these guys get officiating selections.

As an aside, the Tards have looked a lot better in offence than their Aus Soup season.
