You HAVE to compete against Exeter. They take the ball and it's try time.

Defensively Hogg is weak, he has been at fault now for 2 tries which is why he is not a Lions starter fir me

Kirsten may have just knocked Exeter out of the competition with that pen.
Think that's a yellow given the wildness of the swing up and the force (not sure how the ref thinks it's low force).

Exeter living dangerously. Barely clinging on and a yellow would be good night nurse.

Just want to point out that the pass from Williams on the line that missed the target did so because Ruddock knocked it on, arm wide, flying off the line.
Reynal has missed so much and made so many baffling decisions. He is not up to the quality of these teams.

That's the answer to my question ^^^^^
"how did that ball come back"
looked like a deliberate knock on to me and should have been yellow.

7 points makes it one pen or a drop goal game. It mattered.
However, can't see anyone beating Leinster. Ironic that they just said Exeter have never beaten Leinster because I think Leinster have never beaten Toulon.......... but Toulon were never given the chance to continue that run.

And they still had about 10 minutes to play at that point. It was a pretty big deal. Definitely cocked an eyebrow when it seemed not to be picked up, couldn't have been more obvious.

I hate to say it but Exeter should've kicked up a fuss. On replay there's a clear deflection off the arm as he leaps forward.
Reynal has been such a fucking random piece of shit referee that there's no way Exeter can blame him, it's just another in a long line of bonkers misses and poor decisions. The guy is stealing a living.
Exeter's set piece has let them down, it basically wins the game for Leinster. Exeter's wide defence has been really poor. But their biggest problem was about an hour of one of the worst scrum halves starting for a top team - Jack Maunder continues to be absolutely dogshit and it's such a step down from the days of Nic White that I'm not surprised Exeter are worse than last season.
Hill and Kirsten will be very thankful Reynal is shit.
Don't think Leinster deserve this final scoreline but whatever.

Scoreline flattered Exeter, the difference between the teams was far wider than the score suggests.

Agree. I'm on a stream with no rewind but I was sure it was a knock on so how TF 4 officials miss it is beyond me. Yes, there are times you need to make a bug fuss.
Thing is, I've always thought White was another in a long line of dogsh*t Aussie SHs (Phipps etc) so for Maunder to be tiers below that is damning.
This was pretty much an intl side v a club side. Don't see any of the Fre teams stopping Leinster either.

You're overreacting again. Exeter took them apart at times, Leinster deserved the win but it was a very close game and two well matched teams. Even in the stats there's not much in it.

I thought Nic White would be awful but going from Jake White to Exeter somehow got the best out of him. Baxter really got a tune out of the guy and his kicking game, defensive work, and general decision making has proven incredibly hard for Exeter to replace.

Saints giving a perfect example of my complaint about dumb players, not reacting to the refs decisions.
He laid his cards out in the first 2 minutes; & Saints still haven't copped the fuck on !

That's class from Freeman after patient build up from Saints.
I like Ruiz a lot, think he's much better than his countrymen getting higher profile gigs.

Starts with Isiekwe, which is becoming a common occurrence. Immensely talented, but massively thick.
Somehow though we're leading after 34 minutes

Saints really need to work on how they roll out of the tackle, it's very haphazard and leaves them ripe for being held in or inadvertently impeding attackers which invites refs to penalise them.
