Saffers the rugby stars in most English clubs. Even Trokkie performing.

“I know form long experience that South African players are a joy to coach and that they bring high standards and drive a culture of accountability and responsibility within clubs”.
Playing with and against South Africans challenges you to be able to withstand their physicality, which is to the long-term benefit of the northern hemisphere game”.
I was not keen on SA teams in the URC but have changed my mind. They have struggled a wee bit but I have enjoyed watching them. A couple of players I know say they bring a whole different set of challenges, not least their sheer size. I am sure they will improve as they get their Boks back and find their feet in the competition.
The Six Nations is a whole different ball game. There was a lack of depth in the Pro14, so bringing in the SA teams was to the advantage of both. I struggle to see where the Six Nations has an issue. The stadiums sell out for every match, there is considerable benefit to host cities from large travelling support, and all in all it is an attractive offering for sponsors and TV.
It is conceivable the the URC countries might be happy to add the Boks. They have variations of centralised systems so clubs losing players for longer international windows may be less of an issue. Especially as the international game funds everything else. I can't see the private English and French clubs wearing it unless some very significant compensation is agreed, .

Why would we fuck with the most successful competition in the world to bring a bunch of whingeing arseholes who’ll add fuck all to the value of the tournament, fuck up the format, make the clubs even angrier and destroy the tradition of big travelling supports?
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
Exactly. It's the European Championship so it should be European teams.Biffer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 5:06 pm Why would we fuck with the most successful competition in the world to bring a bunch of whingeing arseholes who’ll add fuck all to the value of the tournament, fuck up the format, make the clubs even angrier and destroy the tradition of big travelling supports?

Japan will join TRC now despite being a NH team.
South Africa rugby season changed to NH time frame.
The next step to follow.

That's a bit harsh on Japan.Biffer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 5:06 pm Why would we fuck with the most successful competition in the world to bring a bunch of whingeing arseholes who’ll add fuck all to the value of the tournament, fuck up the format, make the clubs even angrier and destroy the tradition of big travelling supports?

That's kak. The French hate the English with a passion. They don't want to speak their language.Marylandolorian wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 3:39 pmNah, for the French the 6N resumes to one game : France / England.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 3:32 pmAlways thought the French will back us. We will respect the Scots, Irish, Welsh & Italians. They grab the opportunity to let us play in the URC.

The English also hate the French with a passion and have no great desire to speak their language either.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 3:46 pmThat's kak. The one thing we totally agree on is that we don't want South Africa involved in the 6N.
If France and England don't want it, it will not happen!!!
But their favourite game to attend is in Edinburgh. That’s the 6NMarylandolorian wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 3:39 pmNah, for the French the 6N resumes to one game : France / England.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 3:32 pmAlways thought the French will back us. All the money you made will never buy back your soul
There's your problem. It wouldn't be a weekend and the cost of flights alone would be astronomical
Not been to Durban but have been to Tokyo 4 times, it is an incredible place!! But not for a 6N match thanks

We're not living in the dark ages. It's just a short flight to SA and it cost you pocket change to visit our shores. When last did you guys pay 8 pee for a beer over there?sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 8:02 pmIt's not worth going that far just for a weekend. Part of the 6 Nations charm is the viability of weekend trips or even just day trips, to the away venues.

That's direct from Joburg. It's longer from Cape Town. And it's not in the same time zone.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:48 am 11 hours. Important is that it's in the same time zone.

You're flying South for the most part not East or West. There's no jetlag, time difference is about 2 hours. The day is still day and the night is still night.assfly wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:49 amThat's direct from Joburg. It's longer from Cape Town. You could have one hell of a party for less than 500 Pounds/Euro. Fok you could go on a Safari and still have enough for coke and hookers.
