According to AOC, by 2024 Millenials and Gen Z will outnumber the Boomer vote by something like 45/25.
According to exit polls, the youth vote fell 63% /37% in favour of the Democrats.
The GOP are going to tear themselves apart over Trump. If the Democrats are smart, all they need to do is play to the younger vote and address the issues those voters are most concerned over.

They really are despicable arseholes. There was an article on the news the other night about voter suppression and them banning water and food being made available to the very long queues that were forming at some polling stations after others had been shut down. This was in mainly black communities.
Some enterprising folk were setting up stalls just on the boundary, to keep the voters going.

this race has tightened, ~60 votes in now. Does it then go to a run off?

Murdoch has moved on, and via the NY Post has already labelled the "young" De Santis as "De Future". Trump's going to go ballistic on him.robmatic wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 8:29 amThe Republican base will absolutely go for another fash-y authoritarian - sorry, right wing populist - and next time they probably won't be a senile Adderall addict.EnergiseR2 wrote: Wed Nov 09, 2022 3:45 pmWell hopefully they can kill him off. IH I believe it only goes to a run off if neither candidate gets to 50%, so by the look of it, no.Insane_Homer wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 8:43 am this race has tightened, ~60 votes in now. Does it then go to a run off?

How Boebert gets 150k votes is beyond me. She is a piece of trash who has done nothing for her constituents.
Next Republican cunt up the ladder is De Santis. Absolute Hitler wanna be. The shit he's pulling in FL is beyond the pale.

Propaganda and disinterest/wilful ignorance. Everything you've read and heard about her that points out that she's a morally bankrupt moron who is neither willing nor capable of doing her job, has completely passed by those who feed on a steady diet of Fox News or consume no political information other than 'Dems bad' from the people they know.Snooze wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 3:36 pmIH I believe it only goes to a run off if neither candidate gets to 50%, so by the look of it, no.Insane_Homer wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 8:43 am this race has tightened, ~60 votes in now. In a similar vein, Marjorie Taylor Greene was re-elected in Georgia. Clueless, vicious and vacuous, but people still voted for her.
I've lost track with what's going on regarding the shipping of immigrants to Cape Cod etc, I had heard rumblings that De Santis might be on the hook for human trafficking. I'll live more in hope than expectation.
Yip. Fucking crazy. We live on the border (literally the 49th parallel) and prior to 2016/17 we are happy to spend some holiday $$ down there. But not any more. Place makes me sick to my stomach and fear for the few 'normal' people left down there.sockwithaticket wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 3:48 pmPropaganda and disinterest/wilful ignorance. MTG - no words. Her first order of business when Reps run the House is to impeach Biden. She doesn't know what for, but what does that matter. Disruptive destructive evil person.

If CNN were smart, they’d open up a Conservative network, only have me on, and it would be the most successful network in History. Fox only made it because of me, Twitter only made it because of me, and even Facebook is now in the tubes, having lost almost $90 billion…
…in value since I was taken off, which was considered one of the biggest mistakes in business over the last two years, because with Trump go tens of millions of people who believe in MAGA, who want to Make America Great Again, and Put America First!

One of the shitgibbons moron lawyers just got slapped by a Judge with a $50,000 fine, & an additional $16k costs, for filing a frivolous lawsuit against a bunch of Democrats. This is just the response to one of the named persons filing a challenge to the suit, & there's still a million dollar ruling hanging out there from the other parties involved challenge.
Oh, & the judge didn't mince words, & suggested that the lawyer should also face professional sanctions.

Looking at the election map on the New Yorker site, it shows the count for the Senate at 49 - 49, with Georgia and Alaska heading to a new vote and Nevada not decided yet. How can this be when there are only 50 states? What am I missing?
Has Alaska been counted for the GOP given that the two candidates in the run-off election are both R?

US analysts say a seat is in play if it’s competitive and either side could make a play at winning it. That’s not the case in Alaska, solidly republican, Dems didn’t really have a chance, so although an election was happening, it wasn’t considered ‘in-play’EnergiseR2 wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 8:11 amI see that now. It's the same pattern as the Presidential Election, with the Clarke county mail-in ballots, that we know are going to be solidly Democrat, yet to be counted, & these should be more than enough to overturn the tiny lead the GOP candidate has currently.

Looks like GOP knives are being sharpened, with Turtle Mitch looking over his shoulder.
Is it really too much to ask for Trump to be utterly humiliated and then start throwing them all under the bus as he is dragged to jail, skintHal Jordan wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 12:36 pm Looks like GOP knives are being sharpened, with Turtle Mitch looking over his shoulder.

Its ridiculous blaming them for this shit show; they all know the orange turd in Florida is fucking up everything with his support for election denying fuckwits, & pushing policies that are further, & further away from the main-stream.Hal Jordan wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 12:36 pm Looks like GOP knives are being sharpened, with Turtle Mitch looking over his shoulder.
Aligning the entire GOP to pander to the furthest right-wing 5% is electoral suicide.
An extra seat from Georgia would be useful.
Yep, and Trump won't be able to resist meddling, regardless of GOP efforts to dissuade him. The Hershel & Donald Show is sure to be fun viewing.

The GOP are begging him, begging him, not to announce he's running in 2024 on Tuesday; because it'll just keep him in the headlines, & fuck up the Georgia race.
It's nice that the GOP think he gives a fuck about anyone other than himself
He knows he's going to get indicted in the next week or two; & he's planning on using his declaration to claim the prosecution is political. Now that the midterms are out of the way; life can go back to being a continuous stream of bad news for the turd !

Chances of him running even if he doesn't get the republican nomination? It's all about him so getting back at people he thinks have betrayed him by sabotaging the repu lican candidate would be very on brand.

There is no Republican candidate, because there isn't a Republican Party anymore. Those stupid fucks invited the snake into their house, & now they're trying to work out who will ask it to leave; all there is left is the shitgibbon Party.

Think it depends on whether he'll have to spend any of his own money to campaign. If he can get enough of a war chest from idiots still attending his rallies and responding to donation mailers, he'll run.Biffer wrote: Sun Nov 13, 2022 10:36 pm Chances of him running even if he doesn't get the republican nomination?
