That's an elbow to the face. Soft, but silly

Another week in the Prem another Saffer with a dumb card.
I mean, it's not an elbow, but yes. He'll red card him here.
No surprise it all kicked off. Carley lost control of this game a long time ago. Both sets of players hugely frustrated.
Agree with it being a red. But then we've lost our key breakdown player to a bad injury, thanks to a cheap shot that wasn't even deemed worthy of a yellow. Amazing stuff.

Is that forward to OHC? Difficult to tell with the angle.
Looked fine to me tbh.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 1:03 pm Is that forward to OHC? Difficult to tell with the angle.

It's a me problem, that left hand corner angle regularly gets me even when officials and comms are calling it as ok.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 1:04 pmLooked fine to me tbh.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 1:03 pm Is that forward to OHC? Difficult to tell with the angle.
You look like scoring every time you have the ball, and we can't keep it.

That was odd from Green. Just seemed to lose the touch line

I'm going to give him credit for recognising how bad Carley is.
Sorry. For once we're on the right side of the old adage of "set pieces win matches". Outside of the scrum Irish were much better than us. Hard luck, we were pretty awful and I think Jackson's second half errors (see previous posts re: Jackson) hurt you badly.
Very much enjoyed Marcus Smith vs The Entire Irish Backline there though.
Get fucked Carley.

Can't win a game of rugby if you can't scrum at this level and none of our looseheads apart from the guy that's banned can.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 1:28 pmSorry. Simmons seems to be an empty shirt. Nowhere near the impact Coleman and Mafi have on the pitch when they aren't off on the sick.
Smith was great as per usual.
Yeah, difficult for a Quins fan to pinpoint where it went wrong for you outside of the set piece. The breakdown was heavily in your favour and you made hay in attack, the offloads hurt us badly and the big runners made loads of metres. Irish look really good at times.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 1:54 pmCan't win a game of rugby if you can't scrum at this level and none of our looseheads apart from the guy that's banned can.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 1:28 pmSorry. I really don't like him. No empathy, sympathy or humour. A real old fashioned school mistress!JM2K6 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 1:28 pmSorry. Usually comes down to depth in the pack. Will discount Coleman and SOB as they are permanently AWOL, but losing Mafi and Goodrick-Clark a few weeks ago, really took a lot of power and X factor out of the tight 5 especially.
Take the lead a man up and you also have to tighten up a bit and take the sting out of the game. We were still going for that killer wonder try, when we should have been slowing it down and keeping possession.

That was nice, but I think Freeman should have nudged ahead.
Jackson's game management is pretty bad IMO, and his personal error count is way too high. It really did feel like Irish just wanted a 4 try bonus point and weren't at all concerned that Quins might nick it.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 2:05 pm Usually comes down to depth in the pack. Good try, some lovely phases from Saints. Fast game so far.

Yep, poor game from Jackson for sure. He needs to take charge on the game management front regardless of the personal errors.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 2:12 pmJackson's game management is pretty bad IMO, and his personal error count is way too high. I'm glad the conclusion was no offence, but what is the point in the TMO mentioning that to Dickson if there's nothing in it?

Tigers have been enjoying more territory in this second quarter, but their own errors and Saints' efforts are frustrating them.
