And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you CARRY THE BALL IN 2 HANDS.

Lackluster game, really.

Give Dalton Papalii the AB starting jersey already.

Only question is whether any Aus side can manage a win against a NZ one :???:

The Aussie and Kiwi teams have both played below the standards they were showing in their previous home competitions. Pretty average comp, so far. Poor defense at times, average skills, ordinary tactics. Not that impressive at this stage, but early days.

Competition format

Each of the New Zealand teams will play each of the five Australian teams over the next five weeks, before the top two teams – regardless of which country they’re from – clash in the June 19 final.

Ouch - finger in the eye is not good. Totally accidental but we cannot afford to lose Vai'i

 I thought long and hard on this one and played safe: picking Chiefs for a narrow win.

We never used to get forward tries - now we have 2.

I'll happily take it because the backs cannot hang on to the ball

The AR called it straight away but the refs comms were out. That explains the what but I agree that over a minute of play sorta over-rules that.

And other try to the Chiefs forwards.

19 to 5

Bloody backs and their hands. That was almost a dead set certain try and Weber dropped a perfectly good pass

He should have let it go past him to the man outside. Bet he would not have dropped it

Yep, that was a Minties moment.

How well is Jacobson playing, he must be close to an ABs recall, shirley?

Chiefs look too slick for the Brumbies at this stage which if I’m honest I find surprising given the travel situation of both teams.
Why can’t Aussie props scrum straight? Sio is worse than Thor.

Maybe not but has anyone come up with an answer or is it just good ole Aussie scrum trickery?

Nice touch from the guy who clotheslined DMac. Gets a card but still takes time to stop and apologise to DMac on his way off.

Their usual scrum direction is “straight down”

40 to 19 final score with a bonus point.

Man we need a better bench though

I’m no expert but I reckon continually kicking the ball to DMac at the back is not a good idea. Why not go for touch, slow it down a bit and contest the line out just to break up play a bit. Letting the Chiefs or any other NZ team run it back at you is probably not a good strategy.
