At least Ali's Choice has stopped his tearful and hysterical recriminations against all things South African.

Well on this thread he has at least. He's too busy being a drama queen on the Australian Covid threads.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 1:39 pmSure he has......FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 12:57 pm At least Ali's Choice has stopped his tearful and hysterical recriminations against all things South African.

AC plays you guys with ease.....you are no challenge for him.
I'm not sure this is relevant?OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 10:11 am Both All Black tests look like in Australia
News24The Springboks' two Rugby Championship Tests against the All Blacks look set to be played on neutral ground following confirmation that New Zealand's borders will remain closed for international travel until early 2022.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern confirmed on Thursday that her government will only reopen the country to the rest of the world in January.
The Boks were scheduled to play the All Blacks at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on 25 September and Auckland's Eden Park on 2 October.
That now appears unlikely following Ardern's announcement, and while there's been no official confirmation from tournament organisers, the match could likely be moved to Australia.Wherever the Boks end up playing the All Blacks, the next encounter will be the 100th Test between the nations.
The first Test was played at Carisbrook in Dunedin on 13 August 1921, with the All Blacks winning 13-5. The Kiwis lead the head-to-head count with 59 wins to South Africa's 36, with four draws.
It all depends on whether they re-open the bubble between Australia and NZ before the Dunedin test as scheduled... if Covid is deemed too bad in Australia at that time then the bubble won't re-open and tests will have to take place in Australia...

The resolution to this is All Blacks and Springbokke send a B squad to Australia and Springbokke send their A squad to NZ. Just like we did in 2019.

So it look like:
1. Brisbane
2. Europe
3. South Africa.
Myself think Europe will happen. Crowds, bigger money spinner and NH tours starting after the tournament.

I don't really care where it happens, as long as it happens. I think the Boks have made peace with the fact that they are going to be on the road for 6+ weeks and mentally prepared for that.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 7:34 am So it look like:

The call just has to be made soon, so that the logistics don't end up tripping everybody up.
Europe works for me. Same timezone, no jetlag, and I think our overseas-based players' clubs will appreciate having their players back sooner without having to quarantine again after TRC.
Win-win-win.
The ABS are making their name totty"Bloody angry,” Rennie said bluntly to reporters. “I think it’s disappointing how it has been communicated. Our boys all found out through social media.
“I thought New Zealand Rugby didn’t even have the respect to consult RA about their decision so that’s hugely disappointing.”

NZ's view of events...
The Herald understands NZ Rugby gave Rugby Australia a 2pm Friday deadline to confirm whether Queensland will host the Rugby Championship. When that assurance did not arrive, NZ Rugby delayed the team's departure.
Robinson outlined his version of events, suggesting all parties were kept well abreast of NZ Rugby's position.
"We don't accept this has been a unilateral decision," Robinson said. "We have been communicating right through the week with Sanzaar and Rugby Australia and made it very clear to them the risks and concerns we had.
"We understand the emotion coming out of there but are really comfortable with the rationale that we've put in behind the decision and comfortable we're standing behind our people.
"We can understand the frustration and disappointment from Rugby Australia about the fact we are unable to travel tomorrow night. We have a huge amount of sympathy for them and the impact this has on the match in Perth for next weekend.
"We are absolutely committed to playing that game at some stage and we'll work as hard as we possibly can to make that happen with them.
"Getting into a whole lot of speculation around who said what when doesn't really matter at the moment. It doesn't help anything; doesn't help us go forward. We're focused on trying to find a solution to what balances our need to look after our people with our commitment to wanting to make this tournament go ahead."

So RA were given a deadline which they missed and the ABs cancelled their departure?
And yet, the claim is that communications were ongoing?
Surely this indicates a lack of communication and a willingness to cancel just to make a point?
It's a blessing though.. had NZ travelled the competition was screwed....Rinkals wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 10:50 amThat seems a bit odd.Grandpa wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 9:39 am NZ's view of events...
