First Dragons team of the season;
Brok Harris, Elliot Dee, Aaron Jarvis, Joe Davies, Joe Maksymiw, Aaron Wainwright, Harrison Keddie, Ross Moriarty, Rhodri Williams, Sam Davies, Ashton Hewitt, Jamie Roberts, Nick Tompkins, Jonah Holmes, Will Talbot-Davies
Richard Hibbard, Conor Maguire, Lloyd Fairbrother, Matthew Screech, Taine Basham, Tavis Knoyle, Josh Lewis, Adam Warren.
Not pleased to see Keddie at 7 again. Just doesn't look a good balance to me. I'd also rather see Holmes at FB and have one of Rosser or Dyer on the wing. I'd also like to see Tompkins at 12 with Warren, and then use Roberts as an impact sub later on...
Not expecting much out of the game, but I want to see significant progress on our last outings out there.

It could be worse, you could be playing Bristol again.penguin wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 11:15 am First Dragons team of the season;

Oh yeah, Leinster are a real fucking downgrade.ASMO wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 11:38 amIt could be worse, you could be playing Bristol again.penguin wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 11:15 am First Dragons team of the season;

Exactly
Out of the frying pan, into the fire...strong looking Leinster side.

Do you think they'll have mercy if I ask them really nice and promise to be their friend?
How do I put this gently? Fuck no.bessantj wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 1:00 pmDo you think they'll have mercy if I ask them really nice and promise to be their friend?
Well, I think in your heart of hearts you know that's what makes Jonny Sexpants giddy with delight...so numb yourself with Doom Bar, hold back those tears like when you get your back, sack and crack waxed, and don't give him the satisfaction.
Oh mate, you've just reminded me I have some beer in the fridge. One of the best gifts you can give a person.

I told my brother that I was going to watch the Dragons game with a few cans and he replied "First COVID-19, now this."
Zebre 3 - Blues 10 going into last ten mins of the first half. Both defences holding firm, Zebre playing with a little more adventure but a lucky bounce from a speculative kick found Josh Adams on the hoof on his way to the tryline.
It’s alright... better than not having a match to watch. Shane Lewis-Hughes does look the business, Lloyd Williams has lovely service, too. Not a lot of flair in the backs, tho.
HT.

I think Nipper is still seeing stars after playing speed bump - very bravely, I might add - in the first half. But yes, he’s definitely spunked one try by my count.
Jarrod Evans slices through the Zebre defence... gets isolated, then passes to an Italian... exciting but futile.
Blues kick another three...
Zeb 6 - 13 Blues

Had to come in the end. Leinster attack flying in from all angels after a good break by Lowe. Dragons defence eventually fractured.
Ooof, Roberts getting a yellow for a high tackle. It was a tad high could have been worse though.

The thing refs often miss with teams as good as Leinster is that because their attack comes in at all angles is that their clear outs of the rucks also end up coming in from all angles. You could make the argument that you earn that when you are consistently getting over the gainline.
Is Basham injured? Dragons are going to get shafted unless they can get someone into the rucks ansld slow things down.

I don't know if its the Dragons defence being too static but Leinster are constantly making yards off each phase. It's often not many yards but they recycle the ball so quickly and go through so many phases it doesn't take them long to get into the Dragons 22. Leinster finished off that move well.

Not that it was going to be any different, but the Dragons are on to a hiding if no other reason than their front 5 are blowing out of their arse after just 20 minutes, and the front row all have massive guts.
