That's not what they said they'd do is it? And okay the loons takeover in Congress but can they hand this off to the Senate rather than going back on the legal reasons they submitted for getting their hands on the documents?

If they go ahead it's somewhat akin to say what some of the Supremes did when they lied in their Senate hearings about Roe being settled law. Say one thing and then do another just because you can. Let's start listing the things Drump has blamed on his loss..

1. Massive dumps of postal votes.

Fill in as free, but ATM, his new one is

X. FBI told Twitter not to release Hunter Bidens laptop data..

There's a lot more in-between those 2...

The Committee Chair was looking for the records in order to monitor that the Presidents tax returns were subject to be a mandatory audit annually, as previous Presidents have been, since 1970. As we found out today; they weren't, because the shitball put flunkies in charge of the IRS.

Lets also remember that the lying shitball promised to release this information as Presidents have since the 60s, but lied & obstructed every step of the way to deny the House access to data that the IRS was legally obliged to supply, if demanded.

Another of the Tax cheats lawyers, is utterly, utterly fucked !!

Is there a worse crime for a lawyer to commit than Subornation of perjury ?
Washington CNN —

The January 6 committee made a startling allegation on Monday, claiming it had evidence that a Trump-backed attorney urged a key witness to mislead the committee about details they recalled.

Though the committee declined to identify the people, CNN has learned that Stefan Passantino, the top ethics attorney in the Trump White House, is the lawyer who allegedly advised his then-client, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, to tell the committee that she did not recall details that she did, sources familiar with the committee’s work tell CNN.

Trump’s Save America political action committee funded Passantino and his law firm Elections LLC, including paying for his representation of Hutchinson, other sources tell CNN. The committee report notes the lawyer did not tell his client who was paying for the legal services.

The ringleader of the halfwits who plotted to kidnap a democrat senator gets 16 years in chokey. Which is perhaps not quite as much as I thought that sort of thing would land him.

He looks just as gormless as you'd expect.

The redacted taxes are out, & surprise, surprise; after a few minutes investigation, there are already more flashing red lights than at the Blackpool illuminations !

The "Loans" to his kids, the suspicious correlation between income, & expenses in many of his LLCs, & claims for very large charitable donations, with zero proof.

If this is proof of the quality of Mazars work, I'd suggest the IRS get a list of their wealthiest clients, & immediately give them all an audit.

GOP currently tearing itself apart in Congress, with 19x rebels/cunts refusing to vote for McCarthy, so the DNC nominee has 9 more votes than the candidate of the nominal majority Party

Certainly is comical. And it's all the usual players that keep voting for the pedo Jim Jordan, even though he has stated he doesn't want the job (too much scrutiny I suspect). Put them all in a room and you've got a combined IQ of 27 I reckon.

Round 6 coming up, and McCarthy doesn't look close to landing a knock-out blow.

This transparent GOP self-serving power-lust is becoming almost laughably self-destructive. It would be great if the decisive vote to finally reach the magic 218 ends up being held by George Santos.

Only if they continue to shit in his cornflakes after he leaves Congress; because if, & it's a big fucking if; he eventually gets elected Speaker, he'll be doing bloody well to last a year.

I actually think that a big Republican VICTORY today, after going through numerous Roll Calls that failed to produce a Speaker of the House, has made the position & process of getting to be Speaker BIGGER & MORE IMPORTANT than if it were done in the more traditional way, much like me again becoming President after having won big in 2016, gotten many Millions of MORE VOTES in 2020 but “supposedly” not winning (BIG LIE!), & then winning again in 2024. It will be BIGGER than the traditional way!
Nope, ran it through numerous translation apps and still makes no sense whatsoever..

And now Gaetz votes for Trump for House Speaker. FFS they really need to try and put the country first instead of . . . actually I have no idea what they're doing. But they seem to be able to make the Brit Tories look somewhat competent - somehow.

It’s the ‘you’ve got to break it to fix it’ mentality. Very common in libertarian thought - Dominic Cummings had it as his standard approach. They think you need to rip everything apart and rebuild it. If it rebuilds itself the same way, then that’s fine, it just says it was right and efficient. But that ignores the years you lost rebuilding it while your country plummets down the standard of living tables.

There isn't any philosophy behind it !

This is is just egotistical, maniacs who don't give a shit about anyone other than themselves, trying to out-grift each other. They don't give a shit about the Country, as I saw one commentator say; this is about, "likes, clicks, & donations !"

This is now starting to look like one of Mike Tyson's early fights; where some poor sap gets the shit pounded out of him for a few rounds, until the towel gets thrown in, or the ref counts him out.

McCarthy has now lost nine rounds, & he's no closer to getting 218 votes !

Facebook has lost over 80 Billion Dollars in Value since “deplatforming” President Donald J. Trump. Also, it has gotten very BORING and UNINTERESTING. That stupid, unnecessary, and probably illegal move is now considered a major business mistake. I agree!

Sadly, Facebook has been doing very poorly since they took me off. It has lost $750 Billion in value, and has become very boring. Hopefully, Facebook will be able to turn it around. Maybe their first step should be to get away from the ridiculous change in name to Meta, and go back to “Facebook.” Whoever made that decision, and the decision to take me off, will go down in the Business Hall of Fame for two of the worst decisions in Business History!

I just had a beautiful,if rather devious, thought

Joe goes on TV, & says how, he is appalled & embarrassed to find that documents may not have been properly handled, but no-one is above the law, so he will co-operate totally with the investigation and ....... if he is found to have criminal liability ....... he will resign !!!!!

It's puts the orange turd in his true perspective, & his main liability with the Librarians, is he obstructed justice, & had multiple lackeys commit perjury. Joe is showing that all Politicians aren't the same.

But more importantly, it means that this racist, fascist, misogynist GOP will own giving American President Kamala Harris

And she'd have enough time to make sure she'd have no Primaries, while the GOP tears itself apart on the other side.

Oh I did

I want to see the old guard of the DNC thrown out, & the GOP explaining to the Proud Boys, & the Klan, how their votes gave America it's first, Non-White, Female, Progressive(small P), President.

The DNC needs to merge the traditional org, & the Progressives, that want to work for the 99%, & not the 1%; but that means they get called Communists, when they're the more right wing than the most centrist of European Parties.

The problem is the Yanks don't know what the fuck Socialism is, or they'd be all over it like flies on shit.

Seriously this is fantasy land stuff. It's like the worst of the Twitter threads from the usual fabulists. In no world is this a positive for the democrats and your plan is insane. Do you honestly think that the Republicans wouldn't tear your arm off at the prospect of Biden having to resign and them having a free run at Harris?
