Just stop the wee poking of the bat toward the ball. Use your feet and hit the fucking thing.

The Allen/Conway opening partnership is really awful. Allen can smesh it.....but his success rate is so appalling that it comes down to Conway - who can be slow. Williamson comes in an is slow. Pressure comes on so Phillips, Mitchell and Neesham have to hurry and end up chucking their wickets away.
Not a great team set up at the moment.

The bowling is pretty good but the batting is definitely not well balanced.
We’ll do well to reach 150

TBF to NZ, Yadav was the only only batter in the match to get the pace of the wicket. Single handedly won the match.

Does anyone know, or care, that Australia played England in the 3rd ODI of their series on Tuesday...
at the MCG
in front of less than 5000 people
and beat them with figures of 355/5 vs 142 all out?

The NZ v India ODI is very finely balanced, Southee having taken his 200th ODI wicket along the way and India now 194 -4 off 39 overs.
I'm a bit pissed off that I have to go out for a couple of hours now.

25 run over swings it towards NZ massively.
Required RR before that over 8.27, now 6.6

The ECB have been offered £400m for a 75% stake in the Hundred. Rumour is that 10% would go to grassroots and around £10m per county. Inevitably the ECB will sign on the dotted line regardless of strings attached.

BCs leading 1 - 0 and in the final ODI (2nd was washed out), put India in and bowled them out for 219 in 48 overs

NZ need to cram all of their home series into January and February.
I haven't lived in NZ for a few decades.....but - is summer getting wetter? I seem to remember November and December being generally long and dry. Or is that just because I had the good fortune to live in Hawkes Bay?

Talks over postponing the first Test between England and Pakistan by a day have been held after the tourists' squad was affected by an illness.
About 14 members of the party of players and coaches were advised to rest at the hotel on Wednesday, rather than attend training in Rawalpindi.

No, nothing's changed. November has always been highly variable, and pre-xmas December often not much better. January-March is still the best period.
The problem with Hawkes Bay is that scheduling international cricket there has proven time and time again to be a certain drought-breaker.

England rollicking along at ODI pace. I'm liking the way they just go for it. So much better to watch than the slow strangle by the Aussies.

Hugely difficult to judge the bowling when they're under an assault that's completely alien to Test cricket.

Not like this is something new in Eng's (welcomed) approach so Pak has had plenty of time to make some preparation for it.
F**k knows what Eng would have reached had they been fit.

Still 20 overs remaining......surely this has to be the new way Tests will be played across the board?
If the track allows it - 6 an over minimum.
England have won this on the first day.....hell....they won this test in the first session.

Stokes trying to get his ton before close of play.
Brook get his ton, 4th one today. Only Root has 'failed'
500 up, 15 over left in the day.

A bit of everything really. Even on a flat track 500 in 75 needs more than just a flat track.

I think the other nations are watching this England team to see what happens. But when one breaks cover and starts to take the same approach, they’ll all follow. This could be the rebirth of test cricket. Four days of scoring at 5 or 6 an over, 2000 runs in a test match,
