19h30 so 18h30 GMT. LOL. We had to leave and find new pastures. Razor's breakdancing celebrations became too much for us every year.

Sunny here too but a chilly westerly wind straight off the Atlantic. We're ordering pizza and sitting around the kaggel for the match.
Seems I will start the fire soon. I see the missus has got me a decent sized T bone for dinner. Must be fathers day soon. Can't wait to get my boxers and socks in the morning. And I forgot to get wood today. And I am not getting out of my jarmies
Is this some kind of sexual innuendo post?
What sexual anything at my age

For a sec there I thought the players themselves were doing cheerleading.
What the hell was that?

No skin in this, but excited. A new dawn. Deon Fourie epitomises what the game is about.

Worried about this match. Bulls favourites in my book.
Stormers lineout has been a mess all season. Bulls have one of the best in the business.
Marcel Coetzee has been massive all season.
Stormers without Zas gives the Bulls the edge in the back 3 IMO.
Here we go...

Bulls score off a lineout 2 mins in.
This is going to get messy. Stormers not even competing at the lineout...

Couple of cruel bounces for the Stormers there.
Hope it's not an omen for how the whole match is going to play out.
First scrum of the match 6 mins in.
Stormers 0 - 7 Bulls

I really wish we could get some consistency in our local scrumhalves.
This season Zak Burger and Morne vd Berg have been the standouts by some margin, but there's not guarentee they won't also be one-season-wonders.
In 2019 it Jantjies and Nohamba were all the rage, in 2020 it was Jaden Hendrikse had an incredible breakout season pre-Covid. In 2021 Grant Williams looked to be the future Bok.

How does the stormer fetchers get away with resting hands on the ground then moving back on the ball. They have gotten at least 3 penalties that way

Ja. Nee. Jantjies is just crap, to try and tar Burger and vd Berg with the same brush is a bit premature. At least allow them the opportunity to stuff it up themselves.

Not tarring them at all, just saying that we have 2 new star scrumhalves that have had stellar breakout seasons in 2022.
Neither in the Bok squad (although they both deserve it) because Nienaber doesn't want a revolving door and 9 is so critical to his gameplan.
But it means that inconsistent players like Jantjies and Hendrikse keep riding into the squad on their reputations and not on form.
Really hope the Zak and Morne of them can keep it up. They have been phenomenal.

My opinion is just that for a country which has produced some of the best 9’s in history (some actually still alive), our game is typically not based around them. Hence Ivan van Zyl etc. through no fault of their own, being capped.

Congats Stormers, fantastic, after the first twenty I thought the outcome was certain. Bulls? What went wrong? Thought they had the the Stormers sorted, but the fightback was real.
Next season Lions. You know it.

Well done Stormers, great 2nd half.
Also, well done SA rugby, really brought a huge amount to the tournament and looking forward to seeing how it all develops from here.

You don't know your rugby. I meanwhile have supported the Stomps once in my life, and have a URC title.
Enjoyed seeing Morne Steyn come on at the end, needing more than a kick, trying to get a backline working.

Took out some emotional insurance before the match to hedge my bets. Glad it ended the way it did, but very surprised the Bulls couldn't repeat the disruptive lineout work that sealed them the match against Leinster. If they had, we'd have been in trouble. Not complaining at all though; happy to be wrong in this case.

It would've been more in the Stomps favour if it wasn't for conditions/the pitch. Bulls did nothing to the Stomp scrum and Stomp lineout/maul was dominant, took some of the first half for them to get into it, but over the whole 80 minutes that's what it looked like. Conditions/slipping then prevented getting the backline working properly, but the Stomps had planned for that and were much better kicking from hand.
Some good players for the Bulls though. I think it was around the 52 minute mark, when Zak Burger was absolutely everywhere for a few phases.
