Paea is either slow as fuck or lazy as fuck -- a centre not even making a halfway decent fist of chasing a halfback over 40m

Maybe but Roigard is rapid.

Landers not looking after the ball, not playing phases and not playing territory or in the right areas. One way traffic now and all too easy for the Canes.

True but I would expect any threequarter to make more of an effort that Peaa did.

Luke Jacobson would probably be picked before Gardiner who was part of the ABs XV.

I thought Ah Kuoi and Suafoa deserved to go on NPC form ahead of Gardiner but outside of lots of injuries I don't see either Ah Kuoi or Suafoa being on the mix.
I wouldn't mind Jacobson making the squad, especially after he missed out on the last RWC. He's in good nick, long may it last.
Would this backrow be the shortest in All Black history?

8. Savea
7. Cane
6. Jacobson

Won't change the result but Canes too easily undone off 1st phase again.

Dim by the Landers. Nothing to gain by playing on except maybe injuries.

{EDIT} And now if Canes get BP as a result, other sides will not be thanking the Landers.

Who is on it?

But we don't get your commentary so doesn't matter really. I don't really like any NZ pundits apart from Mehrtens anyway.
If you think Merts is best, you obviously stuck somewhere like Aus Grandpa. We got plenty of good commentators, some people don't like, and I can't even remember some of their names. but Ben Castle etc are all pretty good. Commentators don't worry me too much anyway, most people seem to only like those that blow the air up the arses of their provinces, or countries. Amuses that when people say they dislike commentators from NZ,SA,Aus, Pommy land etc, some suit me more than others (a lot of pommy ones doing Heinekein Cup etc) and screamers can annoy me, but it's all taste. All you need is for them to say who has the ball etc. Much like rating players.
Whereever possible I actually go to games, and find I can watch it without taking notice of commentators anyway.
I'm in the UK Dan. Who is a better pundit than Mehrtens? He mixes intelligent analysis with great humour...
I think there a few , Merts is ok, and like the man. but there a few bloody good pundits around. I must admit I not into the pundits that try and be funny, that's why I go off Goldie etc, when he is serious and not trying to be funny he has some good stuff to say, best aftermatch discussion I have seen this year was him and Coleman Tah's coach, also TJ Perenara. Kane Hames, James Parsons, Jeff McTainish I keen on. As I said there are a few, good ones around, and it's quite often the ones on sideline as that's all they do. Funnily enough I used to have to defend Merts in Aus because mates used to not be keen on his views.

Wilson is not funny. He's a moron. Merhtens beats all those for mine. Parsons and Hames are ok, but a bit dry for my taste...

He's got the bulk, pace and strength of a gain line breaker a la Danty for France. Never looks like he knows how to run a support line to me and his most effective stuff seems to be trucking it up.
