I assume the green circle with a dot in it is meaning unread posts in a thread you have contributed to. Sometimes when you click on it it goes to where you were previously, other times it does nothing but responds if you click the end page??
Any ideas?

Click just under the circle, not on it.

Dark mode or a darker mode. Or perhaps a theme which isn’t so bright white. When reading phone late at night.
