I've got friends who live in Treviso and it's a nice wee town. I definitely want to go there for the rugby one day.
Stayed in area a few times on business. Typical fairly well off Italian town. Very clean, very safe and great food in relaxing restaurants.

Bonus point win for Benneton. Good to see Duvet and Rhyno playing.

Glasgow have gone from being Champions or finalists to being pumped by the team that finished 13th last season, and Benetton were well worth their win, they outworked, out thought and out played Glasgow.

Thought Ali Price and Ferguson should have started. Ali Price is a classy player.

I only caught the last 5 minutes of the match, but I'm not entirely surprised.

The Italians have a habit of starting their first few home matches, very well, while other teams are still bringing back the Internationals. A few years ago, Zebre got one over Leinster at home, & it looks like Leinster remembers the experience, because they've a stronger side than they might otherwise send over.

I think this will be an ultra competitive season, & picking up losing BPs, & getting that 4th try, if you can will make all the difference.

Benetton's finish last season is a bit deceptive because they were absolutely screwed when they didn't have their internationals - pretty much their first 23 was unavailable with Zebre not providing many to the national team.

I was a bit worried when I saw the scale of the changes in the Italian teams; I wasn't sure if it was a panic move to reduce the payroll, & what might be left for this season.

So far it looks like Benetton at least still can do the business on the pitch.

Two nice wingers tries from Zebre, but Leinster just going thru the gears & secure the BP by half-time.

Franco Smith Jr. Born in Wales to Saffer parents. Educated at Grey High in Bloemfontein. Wales selectors should keep an eye on him.

Enjoying the Bulls game so far  lots of aggression in defense and running wherever possible. Hope this is a sign of the game plan for the season.

And Liam Williams off with what looks likes a bad shoulder after 20 minutes for Cardiff. Poor bugger, why am I not surprised?

There was a great Irish Sports man, when he was asked about his luck, by an interviewer responded; "if I'd ducks, they'd drown".

I think LW inherited that kind of luck.

Maybe a bit of an artificial pitch injury; but whether it's his shoulder, or the collarbone, he's off for a few weeks again

If the Bulls will play like this more often this season, guys like Arendse and Moodie will really have a big impact. Decent first half, a few to many knocks during attacking moves, but been very enjoyable from both sides. The Bulls scrum again is a big worry, fantastic tight 5 for loose play and lineouts, not so great in scrums.

The crowd numbers at Ellis Park are embarrassing. FFS just move the games to a smaller stadium in a nicer area to create an atmosphere and get families back again. It's such an awful look for the URC.
