Official United Rugby Championship thread
We got ourselves back into the game after a terrible start.
We are a different team with Pyrgos pulling the strings, and not always in a good way.
Managing to watch both games.
Clayton Blommettjies.....what the hell did the Stormers see in him.
Stormers better come out strong second half.
Lovely to see Roos in action.
The Bulls look flat...

When even the Irish Co commentator is saying Edinburgh are being hard done by from the ref there's definitely some soft pens being given.
And he doesn't appear to care that the Bulls defensive line is standing offside a whack of the time.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Stormers look very rusty.
Wish he was English. Then again after Eddie is ‘forced’ to pick him it would be for a match where he has to chase high kicks all day and would then never be picked again.

Stormers finally get it right
Stormers a little rough around the edges and helped out by Aki getting a red card at 60mins, but I'll take the 5 points thanks.
Need to fix our lineouts. They were a mess last year, and we struggled today as well. Improved a bit when Solomon came on for AHV, but still not as polished as they need to be.
Backs look lively, and it's fun to watch, but they sometimes need to also tone it back a bit and not force the pass.
Dyamani man of the match. Our reason is going to depend on him, Roos and Libbok staying fit and staying on form.

Is that possible?Blake wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 2:37 pm Stormers a little rough around the edges and helped out by Aki getting a red card at 60mins, but I'll take the 5 points thanks.

Stormers will have to improve a lot for Embra. Luckily we'll have our Springbokke back. Connacht look good until Aki lost his brains.

However Venter had a massive game. He had to play to the ball with our misfit loose forwards.Chilli wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 2:41 pmIs that possible?Blake wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 2:37 pm Stormers a little rough around the edges and helped out by Aki getting a red card at 60mins, but I'll take the 5 points thanks.

Ja, he had a good game around the park and scored a great try. But his first job is hooker and he needs to fix his lineout work.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Sat Sep 24, 2022 2:45 pm However Venter had a massive game. He had to play to the ball with our misfit loose forwards.
If you want to do well at the business end of the competition you have to be able to rely on your set pieces to generate some momentum for the team.
Hopefully the injuries and concussions weren't bad, we need to go fully loaded next week, and actually start playing at kickoff instead of waiting 25 minutes like we have the last two games

I usually gave Blommetjies a lot of stick but he was very good in his Stormers debut. Libbok just go from strength to strength.
Now for the Lions to make it 4 out of 4
