The thing she misses is that a significant portion of the debt is due to settling cases and paying legal fees that are a hangover from Jezbollah's tenure, and in particular that idiotic report that they produced absolving him, Murphy, Milne and every other trotgimp of any responsibility for the disaster of 2019. It's no coincidence that the influence of the ineptly litigious Unite Union at the time resulted in this outcome for the labour party. The sooner Starmer gets shut of the lot of the last residues of that regime the better.
Catch-22

Starmer doesn't have the power in the Party to do this; & won't have it until he wins an Election; but winning an Election isn't possible with a divided Party, & the shitheads he'd love to kick out.
I am sure there will be a lot of 'supporters' willing to help now that Labour look like a credible Gov in waiting and the blonde Bumblecunt is on his knees and on the way out. I hear backers of Tory party are quietly slipping away, not wanting to be associated with the current shit show and the debacle that will inevitably follow. A few will switch allegiances and try and back who they think will be the future election winners, I don't like it much but that's the way these things work.

I think a lot of donors can see the total lack of talent, in the Tory ranks; & are resigned to the Party going thru a series of loons, cretins, & inadequates; similar to the Hague->IDS->Howard years.

It's beyond vile - this cabinet is filled with incompetents, and she must be the thickest of the lot of them.

Can't think of anyone in the current cabinet who's there to govern the country, rather than to bask in the ;power; and use it for their and their friends' benefit.

The donors want the loons, if not they wouldn't finance them.

Getting rid of the BBC is the best possible result for Murdoch, the Barclays and the Rothermere's. Three of the biggest Tory backers in the country.

Well, not in the country as they live in tax havens but you know.

They've also just re-approved British Sugar's application to use a pesticide that's banned in the EU because of it's impact on bees and other pollinators.

There just seems to be no goal other than to de-regulate, filch from the public coffers and sneer at anyone not in their socio-economic bracket.

Nothing is geared towards improving the lives of the populace.

British business support for the Tories went with brexit and they've been the party for dodgy oligarchs/foreign money since before that.

Neonicotinoids are banned in the UK as well as the EU. What Defra are doing is to allow an emergency exemption to the ban for specific substances on the grounds that there would be a danger to sugar beet crops that cannot be controlled without their use. Defra did the same last year.

I agree that its disgraceful that we should still be using pesticides that endanger bees, but sadly we are not alone in doing so. Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Spain have all approved similar exemptions to the EU bans so their farmers can continue to use neonicotinoids on crops of sugar beet.

Looks like the diversion of defunding the BBC is working for the Tories, distracting folks eyes and ears away from the Partygate scandals. However it looks like they may have misread the room, probably because folk have lost all trust in them now, and it is getting quite a negative reaction from most folk on the media. Hearing lots of dissenting voices about it, probably also not helped by having the nutter Nadine Dorries leading the charge.

They are getting really desperate now, in the absence of a poor SA country to attack, they have decided to unleash our armed forces on the refugees crossing the channel in inflatable dinghies. I expect an aircraft carrier to be despatched soon ... do we actually have one that works?

Still hearing there is lots more dirt to come but those involved are holding fire until the Blonde Bumblecunt crawls out from hiding under the rock and is in full view before it is released. There is no escaping for him but he and his Brexit Ultras are fighting for their political lives so I expect things to get really, really dirty soon.

PS - Acuri was tweeting she was going to release some dirt, I was personally hoping for pictures of the BB shagging her whilst draped in a Union Jack, has anyone seen anything?

Aside from your other stuff we have two that have both become operational and being deployed at the same time. One recently was in the far East whilst the other is currently a NATO flagship in the North Atlantic.

However justified your complaints against the current government are no need to slur the Navy or the ship builders at Rosyth. I can point you in the direction of some ferries if you want ships that don't work,

Slight issues around crewing anything else whilst they're out mind, to the degree to which I'd half expect the Navy's channel presence to be a bunch of recruiting officers in RHIBs trying to pressgang the migrants.

So, "Operation Red Meat" is underway to save the PM:
The six key initiatives being pushed by Mr Johnson, and highlighted in today’s Sunday Times, are:

Using the military to stop migrants from crossing the English Channel

Allocating more money to clear the NHS backlog

Freezing the cost of a television licence at £159 for two years

An end to all Covid restrictions

The publication of a white paper on levelling up

An announcement to ease the cost of energy prices by Chancellor Rishi Sunak
No doubt hoping that negative response for dismantling the BBC will be lost in the backwash of the other 5 things...

Careful!!!

I am not sure that more money will solve the NHS woes, its the lack of staff that is the key issue. Lets see you do all these knee and hip replacements without enough anaesthetists! It is probably a hint that more cash will be given to the private healthcare sector who don't forget don't actually train doctors, nurses, etc they just asset strip the NHS trained workforce. So increasing private spend will strip more staff away from the NHS who in turn will struggle more to address waiting lists and the perfect vicious circle is created. The cost of training is borne by the NHS - everything from direct training by senior staff to senior staff attending examinations to extra room around beds in wards for training to training and simulation facilities - the private sector don't have these additional costs/overheads.

The deployment of UK military assets to do this makes it more likely that migrants in the channel will be rescued. Probably not what Farage et al intended.

This is what I'm thinking. Unless we're asking our soldiers to shoot migrants or drown them which we obviously are not then it's just going to be migrants coming to shore on a navy boat rather than a lifeboat. They won't actually stop the crossings so they just are making themselves look incompetent? Weird strategy. But this govt has no ideas so eh makes sense.

Yes, it's a little joke response that people like to use when someone launches an impassioned defence of someone online when they don't really need defending to that extent
My assumption is that the current government see the military as a catch all solution when their diagnosis of the problem is civil service intransigence. There are times when that's pretty sound, this doesn't strike me as one of them.

With the the No 1 Blonde Slug cheerleader and BBC hating Mad Nad heading up the Culture department who on earth knows
Boris has been there, hasn't he? Must have been. Probably after she divorced her husband for getting MS.

My fault! Didnt think a wee joke about our navy would be the key thing folk took from my post.
I am struggling a little bit to make it more obvious when I'm doing my pisstakes vs when I'm being serious, I fear there's a handful of posters who just assume it's always the latter - if it was just one person I'd just blame them but clearly the problem's on my end!

The Home Secretary may beg to differ.
