You can’t blame any pro sportsman for following the money. It’s a really short career. But nonetheless, moving to Japan now would put an end to the chance of domestic or European silverware. It probably wouldn’t end his Scotland career, but the reduced level of opposition would be bound to affect his game.

Edinburgh socials are really pushing referring to the new stadium ERS.
Obviously being done as it’ll sit well with stadium naming rights.
However, it will become known as The Erse. Bound to happen.

Small bunch of loons 'stormed' (i.e. Walked in) to the castle and said they were reclaiming it for the Scottish people under article 61 of the Magna Carta. Cue some fairly exasperated coppers.
Yeah.

Yeah.
Yeah. That’ll be the Magna Carta that was signed in England in 1215, almost 500 years before the Act on Union in 1707.

I know we all think the Scottish Rugby administrators leave a lot to be desired, but they are better than the Scottish football ones. They sent the wrong championship flags out to Hearts and Partick Thistle for last season.

Stirling win with the last kick on 82 mins
I really enjoyed that, eight tries, some good rugby and a bit of tension at the end.
Great stuff

Don't know if anyone has seen this
Amazon Prime Video will stream 17 live games in this year’s Autumn Nations Series, the name given to the end-of-year internationals in Europe.
Following a successful 2020 Autumn Nations Cup that was watched by millions of Prime members, Prime Video will now broadcast in the United Kingdom all of England’s, Scotland’s, Wales’, France’s and Italy’s games in the Autumn Nations Series, with Ireland’s internationals to be included in Prime Video’s UK broadcast in 2022.
In addition to its UK rights, starting in 2021 Prime Video will broadcast all games of the series in the Republic of Ireland with the exception of the Ireland matches that will be shown on RTE.

You can get all the games for one month's subscription by the look of the calendar, which isn't bad going at all. The unions are strapped right now and this will help.
I seem to remember you can watch the games on catch up if you miss them live, is that right?

I don’t care that much about the Autumn Internationals so that’s fine as long as they leave the 6N alone…

Been pretty impressed by what I've seen of the S6. Recurring issue with all teams issue seems to be with the passing, lack of accuracy at least the receiver a bloody chance!, and timing not passing when they should hanging on too long and taking the ball into contact when there was a clear chance and making the pass when it's too late. This isn't confined to the S6 the pro and national team are poor in this area too. Also some of the scrum halves need a rocket up their holes.
Knight's Tighthed is some machine, one of my tips for the future.

The Knights tighthead Euan McLaren is a disgrace & needs banning from the front row union
A prop shouldn't be showing that pace to score from outside the 22

URC fixtures are out. I can't say I am particularly pleased as they seem to have shifted from Friday/Saturday evenings to Saturday/Sunday afternoons when most are doing other stuff. As has been pointed out by many elsewhere, they are now competing with family time, football matches and club rugby amongst other things. That seems a bit of an own goal to me.
I also note that the subscription is now a minimum of £12.99 per month for Premier Player, or £14.99 per month if you don't want a minimum contract length. £156 - 180 is a lot of money given the Irish and Welsh are getting all their games for free on terrestrial TV. At £80 two years ago and to a lesser extent at £120 last year it was easier to justify the subscription and to accept the shit production standards, Irish centric focus and terrible app. At £156 I start to get more demanding with my money. I don't see what they have done to justify double the cost over such a short period, other than adding Spanish football that I have no interest in.

Don't think all the Welsh and Ulster games are free to air? Think it's only their home games.
Ultimately the SRU needs money and I watch every Glasgow and Edinburgh game (sometimes on catch up I have a bit of a life) so don't mind paying for it.

I'll be watching a lot of Eng Premiership rugby on Fridays in the coming months then.
I'll probably have to record a lot of the Edin/Glas games and catch up later in the week, which just isn't the same thing at all.

I followed the advice from this board a few years ago - cancelled my automatic renewal from last year at end of July and got email offering me a years subs for £80 which I have taken up, paid it this week. I set a calendar reminder. My son can also use the app and cast to his tv down south so it works out at £40 each for the year.

Pretty entertaining so far although I must say I was kind of expecting 2 or 3 players a game to be standing out and it isn’t really happening - SK 10 best so far.
Tell you what’s bloody great though, no 4th official. So much better to watch and the teams just getting on with it - no really controversial decisions so far either.
The commentator seems to be watching a different game though

Baggott was with Embra for awhile, he never quite made the step up. I’ve liked his opposite number in previous weeks but he’s made a few howlers with the boot tonight
