So Scotland and Ireland agree to play out a 31-28 win for Scotland to knock out SA?

Fucking hell the ball was there to be played and the ref blew up
Ireland what a result and even better that Rassie will be fecked off cause the ref screwed SA over.

Hilarious

Oh dear. The ball was most certainly available there - that should give the Saffers something to go at hard

Poor Willemse having to work with the worst 12/13 combo in the tournament.

Hard lines Saffas. With a kicker you would have won tonight.

Ireland with areas to improve, but this means we're through.

Highest intensity, low-scoring, great match.

Amazing game, best of the RWC by far, both teams left nothing on the field...and stop blaming the ref, he was fine, missed stuff for both teams.

I wonder if there is a scenario for them throwing their game against us by enough points to knock South Africa out. 😂

So we lost because of a kicker. SA lost that game more than Ireland won it. But the ref let the irish get away with a lot tonight

Physical, passionate, hard working, but on the evidence of that no dispassionate observer can expect either side to stand up to a free flowing side like England

Irish game discipline was what counted in the end. Stout defence and got points on their excursions forward. Boks wasted a load of chances/territory/pressure, many errors, couldn't kick their points, and so on.

Intense match, and fine margins won it.

Yep, they were kak.

Great game, though. Nerve-racking last few minutes. Well done, Ireland.

Tbh in reality the better team lost and await Rassie and his ref complaints.
Pretty dodgy calls all game but hey if it pisses Rassie off great.
SA lost because of no kicker.

If Scotland get bonus points against Tonga and Romania, a win in the final game without Ireland getting a LBP means Ireland are out.

Tiebreaker in the pool is head to head result, unless SA are also on 14 points.

You can't exclude the kicker from the better team judgement though.

Pollard will be the starter when the knockouts come around. No way Libbok can be trusted in those games unfortunately.

In fairness to bin he'd run around the wrong side of the maul just as the ball was coming back through. I still think Ireland collapsed it though and it should have been a SA pen. Regardless Boks had plenty of chances to win that. They can't have too many complaints. Great game.

Can’t help but think South Arica’s natural arrogance and Rassies idiocy caught up with them here. You do not go into a WC without a decent kicker, you do not go into a. Massive game with one hooker. They are so wrapped up in the “bomb squad” and having their 7 forwards, they take off Kolisi and Etzebeth, the two best SA forwards in the first half.

Well done Ireland, great performance. It seems to me that really important players that looked like they were going off the boil in the last 12 months have peaked at just the right time - Furlong, Porter, Ringrose, Aki.

No sympathy with either of these teams complaining about refereeing. They are continually playing the ref and trying to influence them so when it doesn't go their way, tough shit I say.

Rassie will be launching his video clip app as we speak.

Meanwhile the rest of SA will be prepping their death threat posts.

Well played Ireland, deserved winners.

So from here on we're going to watch the rest of the tournament just to see who is going to the fourth team for the quarters....

1, 2 and three will be the Boks, Ireland and France. Just going to decide the sequence.

(Unless the permutations screw things up).
