So do we believe Truss, that the Bumblecunt still hasn't sight of the report ?

I'm tending to think she's lying thru her teeth; & he's delaying, so he can get thru one more round of PMQs.

Boris Johnson authorised Afghan animal evacuation, leaked email suggest

Boris Johnson authorised the evacuation of animals from Afghanistan during the fall of Kabul, according to emails leaked by a whistleblower. The PM has previously dismissed as "nonsense" claims he intervened in the evacuation of the Nowzad charity, run by former Royal Marine Pen Farthing.

But an email from an official in minister Zac Goldsmith's office suggests he was personally involved. It is one of a number of emails released by a select committee.

The August 2020 message to an official in the Foreign Office says: "Charity Nowzad, run by an ex-Royal Marine, has received a lot of publicity and the PM has just authorised their staff and animals to be evacuated."

When asked in December if he had prioritised animals over people in the evacuation of Kabul, Mr Johnson said: "That is complete nonsense."

If its true then the Russian are getting a really poor return for their money.

The UK is sending military aid to Ukraine as we speak while most major European nations are sitting on their hands (Germany being the worst offender in actively blocking other European nations sending their German made equipment). The RAF is flying intel missions in the Black sea almost every day and its likely our troop commitment to Eastern Europe will increase soon.

The Russians are also investing major efforts into destabilizing the UK (and thus NATO) through support of Scottish nationalism - why bother if they have compromised the government as suggested.

I was really referring to the knowledge about the massive amounts of money being knowingly laundered via UK banks, property and football clubs.

Doubt the Russians bat an eyelid at some UK military posturing. Putin has murdered people on UK soil and basically said "WTF are you going to do about it?". And, of course, the answer was nothing.

I think there is a tendency that's fashionable to understate British capabilities if we decide to use them. Not just military hard power where us and the French are way above the other European democracies but I'm particularly thinking around the cyber space where if so inclined we could give the Russians plenty to worry about.

They trial ran some of their techniques online for Scottish independence. I had some stupid brexitty (older and all male) friends who shared a lot of bullshit and befriended a lot of attractive you females (who then tried to befriend me) who had no history, no friends their own age but loved to spam brexitty propaganda relentlessly from surprisingly early in the morning. At the time I couldn't believe any one would fall for it, now I realise how stupid a lot of predominantly older people are on Facebook. Facebook cleaned house when the cadwalder story came out.

Everyone likes to look for direct links but all the Russians need to do is indirectly help a useless UK or American bullshitter and leave them to it. The Tory Party of course accepts money from some very dubious individuals. They are no longer the party of British business.

Back to Pre-Partygate Tory scummer.....

To any of you UK, Dual Citizens eligible, thinking that you were still UK Citizens; because the Rozzers hadn't kicked in your door, & thrown you on a flight to antarctica .... Think again !
Home Office loses case over stripping citizenship without notice after challenge by alleged Isis member

The Home Office has lost the latest stage of a court battle over stripping people of their British citizenship.

The Court of Appeal found it was unlawful to remove people’s nationality without giving proper notice, after a challenge by a woman who allegedly joined Isis in Syria.

The woman, who can only be identified as D4, is being held in the same Syrian camp as Shamima Begum and did not find out her British citizenship had been removed for 10 months.

....

In December that year, a minister removed her UK citizenship but she was not formally informed until October 2020, after her solicitors asked the government to repatriate her and were refused.

D4 then appealed to the Special Immigration Appeals Commission and started judicial review proceedings in the High Court.

The law states that the government “must give the person written notice” of a citizenship deprivation decision, providing reasons for it and notifying them of their right to appeal.

In 2018, the Home Office changed regulations setting out how notice can be given if someone's whereabouts are unknown, there is no address to send documents to and they do not have a lawyer.

Under the new rules, notice of a decision to revoke someone's citizenship was “deemed to have been given” to the person in question if the Home Office made a record of it and put it on their file.

Giving his judgment at the High Court last year, Mr Justice Chamberlain remarked: “As a matter of ordinary language, you do not ‘give’ someone ‘notice’ of something by putting the notice in your desk drawer and locking it. No-one who understands English would regard that purely private act as a way of ‘giving notice’.”

Sean Whelan, RTE's London Correspondent, seems to have good sources on this.
Westminster is still waiting for Sue Gray's report.

The senior civil servant investigating Partygate is said to be going through her finished document with the metropolitan police, lawyers and Civil Service Human Resources officials, to remove elements that could be problematic for junior staff, the security of government buildings, or a police investigation.

The Prime Minster, Boris Johnson, has promised to publish the report once he receives it from Sue Gray, and will make a statement to the House of Commons.

But the Commons has adjourned for the night, so there is no forum available for the PM to make his statement - until tomorrow.

When the adjournment debate began at 4pm, the deputy speaker said that if Downing Street requested it, the house would pause its adjournment debate and wait until the PM was ready to make a statement.

But that didn't happen, and by 4.45pm, the adjournment question was put, wrapping up business for the day.

Now speculation continues about when Sue Gray will report to her boss - the person who commissioned the report into the goings on in Number 10 - the Prime Minster, Boris Johnson. He will then determine the release of the report.

He is expected to take a few hours (at least) to read the report and prepare his own defences, prior to making a statement. The opposition parties also expect some time to consult the report before the PM's statement.

That suggests tomorrow morning as the earliest time for a Commons statement - assuming Sue Gray delivers her report tonight. If she hands over the report in the morning, then an afternoon statement is more likely.

After that, the question is will enough Conservative MPs regard the content of Sue Gray's report as sufficient cover for them to submit letters to the backbench 1922 Committee, calling for a no-confidence vote in the leader.

If the threshold is reached - 15% of Conservative MPs, equivalent to 54 members - then the vote would happen quite quickly, possibly the day after the prime minister's statement.

Two potential problems with Thursday as a publication day.

Firstly, that would point to a possible vote on Friday, when many members are usually gone from Westminster back to their constituencies, and may not want to stay on.

Second, Thursday is Holocaust Memorial Day, and traditionally the British government does not bring out new policies or statements on that day, so as not to distract from the solemnity of the occasion.

But so far in this 'Partygate/Sue Gray' affair, nothing has gone according to convention, tradition or timetable - so anything is possible.
