The private government Airbus A321 apparently - but hey it has a huge Union Jack logo so pushing the UK brand!
https://www.heraldscotland.com/politics ... ting-500k/An aviation source told the Independent the cost of operating Ms Truss’s trip would have been “at least £500,000”, while the most expensive business-class tickets which also offers lie-flat beds would have been cost just over £7,700.

So for all the controversy it turns out that the Foreign Secretary used the British Government's designated plane for ferrying VIPs around to visit another country? Struggle to see the issue.

More generally it's the absolute worst sort of penny pinching in business. If you think it's worthwhile to fly someone round the world you have the money to not stick them in economy whilst doing so.

Normally I wouldn't have a problem but on the back of all this governments penny pinching bullshit and the economic turd that is brexit I have zero tolerance for this sort of decadence when they could have flown in business class for far less.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 5:45 pmQuite a while back in fairness.

In many ways bumblecunt taking a private jet from cop26 to have a meeting with the climate denier prick editor of torygraph is worse.
Edit: also bumblecunts shit bridge projects.

I think even the most anti-tory on here, myself included, would have no issue with a business class ticket for her (and her clown outfit) but big difference between 10k ticket and 500k private jet - and yes i know like a toddler she won't have been allowed out on her own but 3 or 4 business classs tickets might still have worked..
Would it have cost £500k using the Government's plane? I've no idea how many mpg an Airbus achieves. Or is the £500k what it would cost to charter the plane on the open market?Deveron Boy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:21 pmWhy has how long ago she wrote this relevant at all? That’s a bit silly, she’s the Foreign Secretary, like it or not. There would be a large entourage and security and it’s difficult to argue against that IMO.Deveron Boy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:21 pmWhy has how long ago she wrote this relevant at all? The mission to Australia and back burnt an estimated 150 tonnes of fuel and generated nearly 500 tonnes of CO2.

Why do none of these fucking Journos; have the wit, when the Bumblecunt tosses some bollox out like; responding to a simple question as to whether or no he intervened in the evacuation of Kabul; with; "rhubard"; to reply ...... "So you concede you did intervene; & prioritize, animals over humans !"
Don't let the cunt respond with bollox; but; if he replies with bollox; that he intends to be ambiguous; then interpret his bollox, with the worst possible interpretation of that bollox; i.e. a full confession; & then just continue, if he tries wriggle more, until you get him into a simple yeah, or nay answer; which is exactly what he's always trying to avoid.
You might not get a scoop; but you'll get under his skin; & that's a prize in, & of itself; & when the clip is played, end to end, it looks awful for the plum.

I have come to the conclusion we are being ruled by Aliens.
An alien species, which are removed from our society from a young age, given elite educations in private schools and elite universities and who speak a different Alien language (Latin and pompous goggledeebgook) to the rest of us, Aliens that hate us with a passion, rule us with an iron fist and steal all our resources for themselves.
The Aliens were here, and living amongst us and ruling us all along. If not they may as well have been.
Are any of the tories compassionate, normal people?
The DWP are going after the unemployed again to throw "red meat at the tory Tory Backbenchers" (Daily Mail actually used these words)..
They are not even pretending it is for the benefit of the jobless, anymore (as if it ever was), it is just the extreme punishment of other human beings for the fun and entertainment of a small, hateful, angry group of men.
We honestly have to start economic reprisals on a large part of society, if the poor and working classes ever rise to power again.
Tax most of these fuckers until they have to flee the country, like the US did to Boris.

Now we'll be waiting for the Met report. Dick to the rescue.
Given that these illegal gatherings have been happening in plain view of Met personnel throughout, I'm not holding my breath.

I'm hardly Anti-Tory in chief but fuck me that stinks. The bet has to be that the longer this is dragged out the less people care, but at some stage you think it will just flip to being seen as blatant dishonesty.

It's not interesting in any way. In what other G7 country would 'Foreign Minister took government plane to international meetings' be a story? Plenty of real stuff to get at the Government about, this is an absolute non-story.I like neeps wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 10:38 amIt's interesting as Liz and her entourage got a private jet poor Ben Wallace and his entourage only got premium on a commercial flight for the same meetings.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 5:27 pmYeah, my outrage meter is set to shrug on this one.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 5:15 pm So for all the controversy it turns out that the Foreign Secretary used the British Government's designated plane for ferrying VIPs around to visit another country? #DickOut and #JohnsonOut are trending.
So the Met didn't want to investigate till Gray did all the legwork and pushed their noses in the obvious evidence.
And now Gray has to delay or erase the worst stuff from her report because the Met is still working on their investigation?
That stinks to high heaven.
No wonder Boris was so glad for a police investigation. Just has to delay the Met long enough for another scandal to flare up and blow over by ignoring it.
It's disgusting politics: not just divide and rule, it is all about distract, divide and party on.

So...now being reported:
Pay the fine and keep it all hush hush, another way to keep the public in the dark then...Downing Street partygoers can pay fines instead of being interviewed
Police will offer Downing Street partygoers the chance to pay fixed-penalty notices instead of facing interviews from officers.
Fixed-penalty notices will be dished out to those involved. The fixed penalty notice ‑ recognition that it is a minor offence ‑ will not be made public unless recipients opt to challenge it through the courts, when the information will go out into the public domain.

- The Met didn't intervene in a series of parties going on under their noses
- The Met didn't investigate when those parties came to public attention
- this forced the civil service starting their own investigation
- The Met then undermined this investigation by preventing it being released in full
If that doesn't reek of institutionalised corruption, I don't know what does.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

I doubt they're even protecting Johnson here. It'll come out the police obviously knew about all the parties and did absolutely nothing about any of it.
All this for a disheveled, adulterous, lying (proven already in sackings from other jobs) slug who once conspired to have a journalist beaten up.
How much lower can we go. I was thinking perhaps Sue Grey could resign publicly and explaining why but I doubt even that would force him out. It’s like having a soft dictatorship and his generals must follow the beloved leader and his little red book (mostly concerned with wine, food and sleeping around).

Intervention from Tory backbencher in the House this afternoon
There is no reason for the Metropolitan Police to be able to require Sue Gray not to issue her report in an unamended way for the benefit of the Prime Minister who ordered that report, and for this House, which is eager to see that report.
It seems that the Metropolitan Police is usurping its position by seeking to interfere in the affairs of state without there being any criminal offences or any grounds for them carrying out such interference.
Unconfirmed reports of an ambulance rushing to The house and a grey suited figure bleeding profusely from mouth being taken away. No10 spokesman said he must have slipped on the stairs.SaintK wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 3:11 pm Intervention from Tory backbencher in the House this afternoonThere is no reason for the Metropolitan Police to be able to require Sue Gray not to issue her report in an unamended way for the benefit of the Prime Minister who ordered that report, and for this House, which is eager to see that report.
