Jacques du Plessis is surprisingly ineffective for his size. He's a lock not a 7. There is only one 2m 120kg Saffer who is any good as a blindside and its PSDT. We've tried it with Mostert and I just don't see the point. I hated it when Danie Rossouw played in the backrow.

3 balls lost at the base of a ruck. :wtf:

Great game of rugby though.

Easy to beat the Boks and every other team we have: give us the ball and watch us fuck it up.

Connact would certainly have taken this score if you offered it a couple of mins before half time.

Bulls still can take this if they just keep it tight.

No way on earth Dillane didn't know what was going on there, though he neither has to jump out the way nor is the Bulls prop getting anywhere near Hanson.

Shocking start to the second half, Bulls look out on their feet inside five minutes.

They have seemed out of condition the last two weeks. I suppose it is a step up in pace from what they've been playing last year; & they need to get up to speed.

He made it pretty obvious with his acrobatic arm waving but he didn't actually really move so the decision was right

The Bulls are at the end of a very long domestic season. Been playing almost non stop all year.

The Saffer teams are definitely having to adjust to the reffing so I think we can expect them to bet better as that happens.

I saying that I thought the Bulls had improved from last week in that respect in the 1st half but seem to have regressed

Don't see what the Lions gameplan is. 1st half, hoof everything. 2nd half, try to play with all the ball they have.

West is Best in both games tonight.

Connacht kept the Bulls scoreless for 77 minutes; which I wouldn't have guessed earlier.

That's a paddlin.

Congrats Connacht, 10min spell told with the defensive set before half time and blitzed the Bulls out of it straight after. Players looked knackered.

That score could have been completely different if the Bulls converted even 1 or 2 of those try chances in the first half. They've had 2 heavy losses but they actually have looked pretty good in patches in both games

Yep.

If you can keep the scoreboard ticking over; it allows you to build momentum; but you have to convert your opportunities.

I thought the Bulls looked tired by that point, the execution from Connacht was good but the defence just wasn't there.

Overall a good display from Connacht, they have kept much of the good stuff they played under Pat Lam, they are a really good team to watch.
