At this point Blackadder looks like he's five minutes away from his next injury. Finau instead, please.
Yes to Finau...
and it's not so much about Cane being ruled out as it is about Fozzie realising he got his squad mix wrong.
You can't change your squad unless someone drops out with injury?

Yup... we lost a winger, Narawa, last week. He's out of the cup and headed home with a foot injury, I think.
I see you there ER, flirtin' away in the corner you saucy minx.

Blackadder it is. Best of luck to him, hope he can stay uninjured.

Yeah, so much for all these wings. Narawa gone.
Jordan in career worst form and a card risk. Clarke useless.
Great job, selectors.
Even for you, that is a huge leap.
Wait a minute, Clarke played
Didn't notice him, then again most of our backline were absent.

Our midfield were playing? I don’t remember them
ALB was anonymous, but I thought Rieko had a great game. Jordie's our 12 when fit. Havili shouldn't be in the mix.
Rieko was pants I thought, from his tiny involvement.
I thought probably one of Rieko's best games for NZ... involved in both tries.. 12 tackles missing none... wasn't a ball hog...

Like hell.. I hope he's out for the tournament. Dalton along with Scobo was our best forward... and is far superior to old man Cane...
In the RC we played proper rugby... earned the right to go wide by creating a platform up front. Yesterday even though we dominated the first half, we went wide far too quick.. no pick and goes.. no forward momentum to tire the French out.. then second half our subs came on and we really fell apart... along with BB for some reason he just started kicking every bit of possession we had, away...
We've gone back to Fozball... too wide too quick... Schmidt needs to assert some authority and get them playing properly again... earn the right.. to partee!

We were discussing the balance of the 33-man RWC squad, not yesterday's match 23.

Fozball was very effective against the Springboks in NZ. But it won't work if de Groot scrum like shite.

That's a ridiculous take. Jordan is in career best form, just his teammates and coach are doing all they can to not use that form.
That he is a card risk is only because the high ball is a very high risk option now. Contesting them is dangerous because of WR rules.

We didn't play Fozball against the Boks in NZ... they played Schmidtball... they have played Fozball last two matches and first half v Aussie in Dunedin... surely you can tell the difference? It's night and day... Fozball has no forward platform.. just go wide as quick as you can... no forward carries close to the breakdown to tie in defenders... no mauling... just back and forth across the backline until BB kicks... play like that in the quarters and they will lose... need to revert back to Schmidtball in the quarters...

Yeah, Jordan is world class. One mistimed jump doesn't make him out of form... but it helps if the rest of the team is doing their job...

There was a lot of kicking with Schmidtball. Lots of it.

Jalibert 6 missed tackles. 50% success rate.
Fickou 4 missed tackles
Moefana 3
Penaud 2 and caught napping twice.

Defence stats were terrible. Absolutely the worst in a long time. Look, we know Jalibert is a weak defender and he won't be the last FH to wear that mantle. But fact is Ntamack has been waving players through to the tryline since he reappeared after injury too. And Jalibert really was key to getting Fra moving in the 2nd half. Penaud is equally as poor.
No, the issue is exasperated when your reliable players fail too. Moefana was dogsh*t. The entire game. Again. And after he'd caused the 1st try by rushing out of the line like a 3 year old, the defence around him lost all confidence. Vincent made a huge difference and it's to be hoped Galthie & co wake up the fact that Moefana will never be an intl (poor man's Dourthe).

So his poor game was down to everyone else in the team? OK, got it.
BTW, how often do you see an ABs wing get skinned by a prop?
