Reckon that’s the end of that. England needed Duckett and Stokes to stay there until mid afternoon at least.

Not ideal - but Stokes set, Bairstow must benefit from having Stokes at the other end. Aussie still 2 wickets away (one having to be Stokes) from feeling comfortable.

Primary school - about the same time you're warned to never turn your back on the ball.

Bairstow is in the wrong in terms of being an idiot.
Zero cricketing intent from Carey - just dishonest cricket. Same old aussies etc etc

What does that mean? He gathered and threw it, knowing Bairstow has a habit of going walkies.

Bairstow was still in his crease when Carey threw the ball, and before over had been called.

Sorry, Bairstow has left his ground while the ball is in the air as it has been thrown at the stumps.
I wouldn't have appealed but it is 100% squarely only on Bairstow. He's been stumped off a quick. Embarrassing.

Ashes need a good level of spite. This pally franchise cricket shit has made them too friendly.
Bring back hitting Pointing and not apologising and threatening to break Jimmy's arm.
It's a pity England's three 90+ mph bowlers are made of biscuit. Archer, Wood and Stone belting in at 93/94 and Starc and Cummings bowling quick with a bit of spite would be lovely.

He's having a very good game indeed. As a neutral, that was a crazy good session of test cricket.

A statement has come through from the Australia team: "Australian management has requested the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) investigate several incidents involving spectators in the members area during lunch on day five of the Lord's Test. It is alleged players and staff from the Australian team were verbally abused, with some being physically contacted, as they made their way to lunch through the members area."
