You'd expect so with all their "loanees" back in the squad

Always looked class whenever Sarries played at the rec, but not sure if he's seen a 10 or a 15? Showing my ignorance as a lumphead lock but I thought he'd make a good inside centre.

Was he? He was so parochial, it actually went beyond annoying to hilarious.

Ulster got absolutely manshamed.

A capable back up 10, but he's played the vast majority of his rugby at 15.

Not sure about 12, even the second play-maker types need a certain amount of physicality at the top level.

So, over 500 days later, competetive league rugby recommences for English clubs in levels 3 to 6
Only another 2 weeks before my club play their first league match since 7th March last year
It appears that most clubs have held it all together, but one casualty in our league who have dropped out of the leagues all together due to lack of experienced 1st team players!!

Minis back tomorrow at my club, a fun day event starting at 1.00 in the afternoon.

Thereafter back to dragging my arse out of bed for a 9.30 Sunday morning start, a time invented by Hitler to try and break the British spirit.

Same here, registration day tomorrow, from 10am-1pm, going to try and be there the whole time and play some daft games with the kids to keep them entertained whilst parents are filling out paperwork.

Anyone got some suggestions for silly games!

Brett Herron. What's the story here? Had an o/s debut for Biarritz on Sat and not a player I'd even heard of but commentators saying he came from Quins.

Still sore after Saturdays veterans game.

Think people are keen as we had about 40 players in the end!

Assumed that would be the case if Quins had offloaded him + BO hardly in the money. But was surprised at how well he played. Actually outshone Jalibert in the game. Sample size of one, of course.

Well I've not watched the game, but perhaps it was a bit of a flash in the pan from the promoting team, judging from the Ulster score.

Got dicked by Ulster in the return match at the Allianz.
Appear to have some concerns at scrum half as they have just signed Joe Simpson from Glaws on a short-term loan!

Premiership kicks off on Friday, Bristol Sarries isn't a bad curtain raiser to be fair.

Looking forward to seeing how Cipriani goes at Bath, although they've very kindly put kick-off to coincide with the kids' dinner time. Hoping he might invigorate JJ, makings of a good attacking set of backs if we can get it right.

So hard to call who the top 4 will be at the end of the season, nevermind the winner.

Bristol, Exeter, Saracens, Harlequins, Leicester and Sale are all good shouts. Should be a cracking season.

Cant see Leicester breaking into the top 4, Sale an outside chance but for me it will be between Bristol, Exeter, Saracens, Harlequins.

possibly Bath of Glaws in danger of the drop.

With Quins I think it really depends on how much they can utilise Marcus Smith. If he misses a bunch of games due to international commitments, then I can't see them torubling the top 4.

Tigers are still a bit early in their rebuild process and need Borthwick to expand their game a bit beyond solid basics before they're getting near playoffs. Some of their rugby last season, like the Challenge Cup final, was eye-bleedingly dull and focused almost entirely on kick chase. I'd like to think that's not enough in the Prem.

That's being played on the ex-players lunch day at old club. I'm on a table of 12 of mostly my old Colts side. 12.00pm start. Going to be carnage.

Brizzle have just signed Lam up to 2028. That seems an unusually long contract considering he hasn't won anything with them yet.

He's clearly quality, quite likely going to be chased internationally (longer contract = more payoff), entertaining style gets bums on seats even without silverware. Considering how long they've been in the prem they're doing well, at the same time, clearly spending the pennies.

And the owner is rich as anything, so if he has to buy him out if they get tired of him, they can do so.
