I knew Stokes was due one. I reckon him and Bazz were worried that Bazball was in danger of coming off thr tracks - so Stokes' did a Stokes and resurrected it from the doubters.
Masterclass from the Kiwi's!

Aussies did a great job after lunch, didn't get bored and realised Stokes couldn't run two very often so wasn't going to be able to punish a fully spread field.

Stokes went into his shell the last 3 overs and all the momentum went towards Aus. Then had to force it and skied one.
Should have taken more singles and trusted Borad a bit more. Keep the scoreboard moving.

The diff between a young bowler (Tongue) standing his ground vs Jimmy and Broad pussying out the way is marked.

Stokes couldn't run two very often and Australia bowled to prevent the big hits.

Not because he’s standing still tho. He’s jumping around like a cricket on a skittle. Has done for the last 7 years.

You don't stand still to short bowling. You have to move your body if you want to duck it, if you want to get on top of the bounce, if you want to try and get your hands out of the way.
These guys are bowlers, Anderson has just worn one in the grill, and Broad survived for nearly two hours showing great bravery. The old guard don't deserve to be accused of cowardice because they aren't squarely in line behind every single shortball.

Just because they’re heroes doesn’t make my analysis of their technique wrong.

What's actually happening serves to do that quite nicely, actually. And calling them pussies is ridiculous.

I wish he could duck, but he's never been able to. I guess he picks it up too late, and if he premeditates the duck he'll be bowled / lbw.

You'd have to imagine he won't play the next Test for a number of reasons. Woakes to come in?

Well done Australia. Comfortably the better cricket team.
No idea what side we'll be able to select for the next Test. Great to see Stokes tee off, though.

If you’re a big enough shithole that the Long Room at Lords has a go at you, you probably need to reconsider your behaviour.
This Aussie team with its leadership group containing known and previously banned cheats are one of the least likeable, least watchable test sides I’ve ever come across.
And I’m Scottish and have Aussie citizenship.
That’s how much of a bunch of arseholes they are. They’re making me want England to win.

What a load of bullshit. The arseholes are the ones in the crowd and the long room. With the UK being a bonfire it's to be expected I suppose.....
Broken England.
