I heard one MP saying it stank but Boris delivered them the victory before and is the only person that can deliver victory again.

Just to step back for a second, that is saying that winning the election is the only thing that matters and how that is achieved is irrelevant. It’s so ingrained that no one bats an eyelid and the MP doesn’t think for a second that it is controversial, because it’s not. It’s so fucked.

The issue is now, the; character; of the PM of the UK; & that is what the Tory Party; & it's MP's should be judged on.

Let the Speaker, ask each & every MP to retract; & have them stand by the truth; & let the Speaker protect the liar over them; & tell them to withdraw. With a little co-ordination; they can each pick a specific lie; & a specific occasion he told it in; & just lay on how many times he's shown contempt for the Parliament.

I think it'd be a powerful demonstration of who the elites really are; & how the system is rigged; to have constituents see their MP's being forced out of the House, for telling the truth; & seeing someone they all, already know is a liar; be protected by the system.

Noteworthy that neither the Mail or the Telegraph is backing the PM this morning. They are usually pretty good at judging which way the wind is blowing with Tory voters. Wonder whether this will focus minds on the backbenches.

I have 2 sisters in their sixties and a mother in her nineties that were (are!) fierce supporters of Brexit and big fans of Boris.
