That said, recall I did say last year he needed to get out of there because ASM was destroying player's careers with most of them going backwards: Ituria, Jedrasiak etc And then you can throw in the prospect of being sued by former players for concussion including Thugmore and Lapandry.

Don’t know what is happening there (Jono Gibbs?) itused to be players from UBB going to Clermont, Lopez, Païva, Pelissié.
This season Bordeaux got Vili and Falatea from them, now Penaud
With maybe Radradra coming back, it looks like Marti wants a trophy before he gives the keys to the next prez.

Hope for his sake and the French team sake that he made the right choice. Bordeaux is going backwards right now, maybe not as bad as Clermont, but they are not where they should be.

Clermont has lost a lot of its financing since the football team is in first division unfortunately and can no longer compete to hold onto the best JIFF.

Just learned now from a valid source that Toulouse tried to get Penaud but the salary ask was too high.

Considering their Buying spree the last few years I doubt they could pay "le mexicain" his Prod2 wages :lolno:

More likely they would have found a way to circumvent the caps as they are already doing but it might have attracted too much attention.

It’s kind of funny because when you read/ listen his full interview he just said that toulouse didn’t really made him an offer, that he’s very close to Giroud and also his girlfriend preferred to live in Bordeaux than Toulouse or La Rochelle.

Racing playing better. No Russell. Coincidence?...........

And another stinker for Woki following his humbling by Macalou.

Watched Bordeaux tear apart Montpellier.

Haouas past his best really.

I quite like Lamotte. Young Bielle-Baret looking good, growing well. Jalibert rather good, Ntamack will need to wake up soon.

I don't think any of us ever rated Haouas. Just another criminal at Montpellier. Ntamack injured again.

The fact that Haouas was a starter for France or that Atoniois our current number 1 shows the issues we have at THP.

I liked an U20 prop, but don't remember if he played THP or LHP. Mathis Perchaut I think is his name.

Yes but I think we have to suck up the fact that at any one time, you are going to have a lack of depth in a position. For far too long it was at 9, 10 and 15 and whilst the best option may not be being selected at 10, at least there is hope.

Watching Clermont- Toulouse

Dumbhead Lavanini doing his usual no arms tackle.
Penaud showing why he can't play center as he doesn't know how to tackle.
Toulouse running through the middle with easy offloads...

Jaminet is the only below par player for Toulouse.

Well, that made for sad viewing...

Clermont couldn't just get the basics rights...

Penalty kicks not finding touch
Skewed lineouts
Porous defense
Sideways attack
Poor decision making

Dreadful stuff. Clermont pumped by a 3rd string Toulouse. Too many players don't appear to even be trying. Penaud certainly seems disinterested now he is on his way out. Lose to USAP next week and the alarm bells will be sounding.

Meantime, I see that ultimate of spoofers, Volavola, is on his way out. Hard to think of a player in modern times who has masqueraded so badly as a professional rugby player.

As you know I’ve been Jalibert fan since day one, but the player of the month should be Camille Lopez.

Amazing really. I honestly thought it was a bad signing by AB i.e. Lopez would just free load for some pension money. But no, he really is playing with more enthusiasm than I recall for years. Would be ironic if AB finish above ASM: what with Parra playing well at Paris too!

Danty out for at least 3 months (knee), Moefana in 13 I guess if Villiére returns, if not I read that Dumortier (LOU) is doing great right now.
Who else in 12? Vili maybe

F**king hell. This is beginning to look bad at just the wrong time. Woki and Penaud completely out of form. Danty and Villere with injuries.

Barrassi is developing nicely with Toulouse.
Fickou is a worry with Racing atm.

Tbh, I would love if all our players could get a good month off like Ramos carved out for himself. I see a number of tired men.

We will need to manage the build up to the world cup if we don't want to finish on a limb.

Worse would be injuries for our props where depth is very shallow.

Looks like Woki and Penaud might be more unmotivated than out off form, we’ll see next month

True, props could be a big problem, as for Ramos do you think he did that in purpose?  Nah

Penaud is a shit defender, that has always been the case and when playing center against a team the caliber of Toulouse, it shows. But his attacking power remains.

I don't think Ramos did it on purpose. I was being facetious. But I think this is a welcome break for him and all our international players could do with a 4/5 weeks break.

FFS. France just can't help itself with corruption. Living up to the worst stereotypes.

Talking of stereotypes, USAP 7-0 up at Michelin so decide to go down to 13 men with some hopeless discipline.

Baille is an outstanding scrumager. Young Duprat was being minced by Atonio, Baille comes in and the scrum doesn't move any more.

Dulin is really playing well.

The Toulouse subs are suffering.

Mmm... Toulouse scrum minced again. But La Rochelle started to push before introduction, there should have been a free kick against them. Instead a yellow against Toulouse...

Not just a scrummager but a ball player too.

Mind you, LaR doing a sh*t job against 13. Fre sides continue to frustrate me in their inability to adapt and exploit the spaces when against fewer opponents.

Yes, he is known for his mobility and ball playing skills but he does the basic well.
