Eben really was immense. Carried a huge load with so many rookies around him. Yes, he's going to give away a couple of penalties but overall he's matured into a phenomenal player.
Two tests in and we've been shown more than ever how much we need Willie le Roux in our team. You cant underestimate the value of a playmaker, which are generally quite rare in South African rugby.
I still think there is a lot to be positive about. A completely different team lost by one point to Wales. If GA had missed that conversion, we'd be having a different conversation.

Out of a squad of 23, there are 10 former or current $harks players.
Out of the starting 15 there are 8 former or current $harks players.
When you take the $harks results into consideration over the past few years it makes you think that their to ic environment mentality rubbed off on the rest of the Bok team.
You can include Roos and PSDT....
Sharks are all inclusive. We share our " one love ".
I did.
Did I miss a few more mediocre displays?

I am glad Roos left the Sharks. Not international standard yet Huge queue in front of him.
What a disappointment Gelant was. Gutted for him. He had his chance and the Welsh had his number. Still better than a 10 that doesn't pass the ball and a 15 that can't take pressure catches

Inaccurate kicking and indecisive running, Pollard cost us that match.

Yeah. Etzebeth is an absolute beast.
We couldn't smash them upfront.
AE couldn't punch holes in their backline.
None of the other players could create anything.
Quite pathetic really.

Bring it on this weekend Wales.....
Boks are going to give the Wesh a proper hiding.
Those bodies must be very sore after the bashing they took from our team this weekend.

I said that South Africa fielded a b side, basically to target and injure as many welsh players as possible.
To do a mid week style job on us.

A scrum going backwards goes down all by itself

LOL
Yep and quite right too. No way should a game be decided by a shitty scrum penalty.
So what other laws should be ignored in the last few minutes of a game?

Chilli was going on about Esterhuizens hands.
He broke his hand....no wonder. Out for this weekend game
Assistant coach Deon Davids said on Monday that inside centre Andre Esterhuizen, who featured as part of a new-look Bok lineup in the 13-12 defeat by the Welsh in Bloemfontein this past weekend, has been ruled out with a broken hand.
Damian de Allende was expected to return at No 12 this week, but Davids has speculated that Esterhuizen would be out for up to four weeks

It is ever good to hear that a player is injured.
I wonder if he broke it while passing the ball forward, or to no one or while dropping it?

Sickening arrogance.
I hope Wales click but I fear that it is a game much too far after the violence directed against our injured soldiers.

Nche must be injured. I don't particularly rate Nyakane.
Surprised that Hendrikse and Willemse are ahead of De Clerk and Le Roux.
Also notable that the management clearly rate Louw highly.

They've made a mistake not going with a 5/3 bench split to fit Esterhuizen in, also should've had Marcell in the 23 probably on the bench.
I called the starting 9/10, would've been hard to select anything else given the first and second test performances.
I can see it being much like the last two matches, it's the first test team with the second test 9/10 and not many other changes. But the first test performance wasn't that great and this team has some of the same weaknesses, no ground player in the starting pack, the same two backrow players on the bench who added not much when thy came on in the first test.

Unless you want Esterhuizen to carry water he wont be included, but I don't know how he's going to do that with a broken hand.

They need to bring more than they did in the first test, not sure it's coming from this selection. The Boks got fortunate with the cards in both tests. Probably need their best match of the series now.

There is no accuracy in their play, simply not clinical enough to execute the very one dimensional game plan. Doesn't help that quite a few key players are out of form as well. No consistency in selection makes for poor cohesion in the early part of the season. The machine will click sooner or later though, that much is inevitable. There's class right throughout that Bok team, but they have not looked anything like world champions so far this year. Hopefully that changes this weekend.
