Just shocking😂
Especially given that that happened in the three minutes it took me to get rid of a stupid wanker at the front door who wanted to talk about Jesus Christ wanting to save my soul.
Did you mishear him say Jesus Christ wanted to save your side?

Anyway, chase after him and grab his number. That type of effect could come in handy come playoff time.

I admit he's probably struggled to gain consistency with injury and a surplus of quality backs crowding him out, but I've seen a bit of a character flaw in him at times. Going back a couple of seasons now, he scored a couple of tries and acted the cunt, patting defenders on the head and going on a bit. I've got no room for that carry on myself. I think it betrays a weakness on the part of the perpetrator.

Goodhue should be at 13.
I can't recall who the player was, but he did something similar in Soup way back and was put straight sharpish by McCaw and never did it again.

Not convinced by this switch of Tupaea to the wing.

Looking at the team list Torq, I'm guessing it's a bit of a plugging holes exercise.

I'm not a Chiefs supporter myself, a good mate is though and we watch a few games together. We're both fans of Alex Nankivell, he's a nuggety sort who could easily generate a bit of a cult following. He and Tupaea in the midfield are a good combo.

Here's the team list... it's the outside backs they're missing.

He should be a Crusaders player if you think he's going to generate a... oh, shit. Misread. Sorry.

Nankivell is getting smoke blown up his arse by the commentators every time he plays - not without reason, but he's definitely one of the "stories" of the competition.

Agree on Nankivell. The sort of club pro every side likes to have. Will still be too good for The Reds.

Kahui #2?

Wouldn't surprise me, given the obvious weaknesses in our current crop of "specialist" 11s.

I suppose he's what you might call a 'clutch player'? The sort of guy who manages to pull off a winning play at the crucial moment that gets everyone up out of their seats. Glenno and I started pumping his tyres before Covid as a sort of private joke, inventing cult players over too many bears. Then he started actually being quite good every now and then. I think we can take full credit for his development and, in a sign of true rugby magnimosity, I am prepared to extend the lad a slice of Crusader Aura.

An essential element in the creation of a cult hero, really.

A distributor and an attacking weapon in his own right….

Good call. Nankivell is cast from a similar mould.

Crusaders team for Tahs match named. I like seeing Havili at 12 and Goodhue at 13. Pretty much their strongest team, seeing that Moody is out for the season injured and that Mo is being rested.

1. George Bower
2. Codie Taylor (C)
3. Oli Jager
4. Zach Gallagher
5. Sam Whitelock (VC)
6. Pablo Matera
7. Tom Christie
8. Cullen Grace
9. Bryn Hall
10. Fergus Burke
11. Leicester Fainga'anuku
12. David Havili (VC)
13. Jack Goodhue
14. Sevu Reece
15. Will Jordan

RESERVES:
16. Ricky Jackson
17. Tamaiti Williams
18. Fletcher Newell
19. Dominic Gardiner
20. Sione Havili Talitui
21. Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi
22. Simon Hickey
23. Dallas McLeod

All Blacks and Crusaders prop Joe Moody will play no further part in the 2022 rugby season.

On Thursday, the Crusaders confirmed the 57-test international ruptured the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in his knee during the side's 27-23 loss to the Blues on April 15. He will undergo surgery that will sideline him until 2023.

Bad news about Moody... agree with you in the main but where's Blackadder? I think he's a better loosie than Matera who still seems to be struggling with the pace of the game.

Blackadder is my favourite Crusader backrow forward this season but he is probably being rested and Matera did have a blinder last week. We have Christie back too.

Thought Matera was outstanding on Sunday, and the equally impressive Blackadder probably needs a well-earned rest.

Cool... Matera was joking in early season about the pace of it and looked to be shedding some weight. Be great if he's found form heading into the tail of the comp.

No argument at all on his impact on the team but Burke has been around for long enough. With a strong pack and Havili/Goodhue outside him, I am looking for him to prove he is good enough at Super level.

Going back a few posts, I really liked Buckman, he was one of those Highlanders lads that might not have made the ABs but they were good players, Marty Banks was in that category, Dan Pryor, Nasi Manu , John Hardie of course - how Hardie got out of bed the next morning after a game I'll never know, he was the rugby equivalent of Roberto Duran, leading with a granite chin.

Defo overplaying that. Esp against this opposition. Not like the kicks are particularly good either.
