Lance Stroll says hi.
You're saying Stroll is the best driver in F1? Might be alone on that one boet...

The best driver in F1 is Lewis Hamilton.

Sets us up for a great race tomorrow, especially as tomorrow's forecast is effectively the samd as today.
It will kill the race if it’s as wet as that. A near constant procession of Safety Cars. Hopefully the conditions will allow proper racing from the well mixed-up grid, in which case it’s definitely one to look forward to.
They overdid the red flag today, but there's a real difference between quali and race in terms of driver limits- nothing we saw today would have caused a red flag under race conditions, where drivers aren't looking at single lap performance. Anything that caused that type of event cancels the weekend through bad light

I think a bookie would give you decent odds that Stroll doesn't make it around the first lap tomorrow.
Good call.
Somewhat confusingly for a driver with his rep(the ultimate paid driver) Stroll has a history of being good in the wet.

Stroll is good enough to be in F1 regardless of how wealthy his father is. That pole, in those conditions, will have massive currency in the pitlane.

Under normal conditions he's one of the worst drivers on the grid. It's just than in the wet he seems to be much better

More water. A number of cars crashing on the way to the grid. Expect a lot if incidents at the first corner

His record is fine - two podiums already and now a pole position. That better than 80% of F1 drivers achieve in their entire careers already. I imagine you'd rate a driver like Hulkenberg higher.

Red Bull is great in the quick bends, but really struggling to get the power down in the low gears on the straight. Tracing Point just drives away.

The trouble tge Mercedes has had all weekend was that it wasn't getting heat and wear into the tyres. So you've got to think it's not wearing the tyres down as much.
