A journalist going by "Tory Boy" has some good news:

There's absolutely no way that story gets run in a deeply pro-Tory and pro-Boris Daily Mail without it being led by Tories.shaggy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 1:13 pm#3 Media making shit up?Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 12:02 pmIt's that or his close advisors are fucking idiots, and I find both fairly plausible.

Would agree with this. Most charitable explanation is a nobody in the Tory party started talking shite after 8 pints.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 1:30 pmThere's absolutely no way that story gets run in a deeply pro-Tory and pro-Boris Daily Mail without it being led by Tories.shaggy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 1:13 pm#3 Media making shit up?Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 12:02 pm

Let's be honest, this has come from an old school lads conversation in the lobby bar after a few. Straight up misogyny from some old school private school boys who kind of fancy Angela Rayner as some kind of working class piece of rough. There would have been all sorts of other pish in the conversation along the lines of 'bet she loves it' 'I'm sure she's dirty' etc etc.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 2:54 pmWould agree with this. We've all been party to conversations like that in the past, many of which most of us would look back on now with a bit of a different attitude (I know I would). I'd hope I'd stop a conversation like that nowadays but who knows. The problem is that the participants in that particular conversation didn't see anything wrong with it.

It's a week old but hadn't seen this before: Stewart Lee
Why Brexit Britain is turning purple with shame
Johnson clings on, like a sheet of shatted toilet roll stuck to the sole of the national shoe.

The government’s catalogue of embarrassments found a perfect symbol last week in a 500-tonne mountain of rotting beetroot
Apparently the rumour is that this is not one person but a few including a very prominent female Tory.Biffer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 3:20 pmLet's be honest, this has come from an old school lads conversation in the lobby bar after a few. Could well be that, but I think it's far more likely yet another dead cat being thrown on the table to try and distract from any number of things we should probably care about more like current Tory cabinet ministers being among a disappointingly, though not surprisingly, large number of MPs being referred for sexual harassment.Biffer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 3:20 pmLet's be honest, this has come from an old school lads conversation in the lobby bar after a few. There is, of course, the horrible suspicion that given Johnson's total sexual incontinence and general attitude towards women he might actually be distracted by a pair of legs.

The article was based on the conceit that the Bumblecunt is such a brilliant debater, that the opposition is forced to resort to dirty tricks to distract him.Hal Jordan wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 5:29 pm There is, of course, the horrible suspicion that given Johnson's total sexual incontinence and general attitude towards women he might actually be distracted by a pair of legs.
The reality is he's a lazy shit, who does no research, or expend any effort to prepare for PMQs, & is actually the least effective PM from the dispatch box I've seen in my lifetime !
His uselessness was demonstrated by the Saville comment, when Starmer put him under pressure, & he lashed out with a vile comment, that he was specifically told not to use by his advisors.

There's tons of examples of Johnson doing this, there's footage of him telling someone to "Get Stuffed" when he's sitting in a committee meeting as Mayor of London.
He's so unprofessional

It'll be interesting to see how this latest example of how cretinous the Government is plays out.
The Speaker is calling in the Editor, & hack from the the Sunday Fascist .... I don't know what for, because they're not going to tell him who they were quoting, but I suppose it looks like he's doing something !
The only action that looks likely; is that the hacks permit for West Minister will be revoked, & he'll be relegated to some shite desk, reporting on dog shows, or whatever; & all because he reported what some MP(s) said, & his Editor published the story, & meanwhile, no consequences for the MP ........
My experience of blowhards like this MP, is that this is unlikely to have been the one & only time he's shared his, "theory", with others, & so there are going to be other MP's, & reporters that have heard it, & can probably identify him. It'll be interesting to see if this gets referred to the Standards Committee, or if we get a leak next Sunday, with a paper naming the MP responsible.
Will this MP be the latest person to get thrown under the bus to divert attention from all the shit the Bumblecunt has, & is getting away with ?

So on the domestic front we will see inflation, increased energy prices and NI increases coming this month.
I suspect for many their take pay packets will be less than last month.
Many of the lower paid staff in the NHS also have an increase in their superannuation this month and will definitely see lower take home pay today comparred to this time last year.
And about £40+ a month to pay on their car parking which was suspended during covid.
A perfect storm...

So far I'm down £3088 a year between NI rise, Energy, Council tax, mobiles - but that's not the full whack just yet on NI since it only took effect from the 8th and I get paid on the 15th. Next month should be a clearer reflection. Can't wait to see how much my rail goes up in June and energy again in Oct.C69 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 7:07 am So on the domestic front we will see inflation, increased energy prices and NI increases coming this month.

I wonder if the usual suspects will clamour for the removal of this unjust imposition on the poor as loudly as they have for the removal of the Climate Change Levy?
The impact on spending is already being felt and will be a disaster for the UK economy. Any hope of growing out of this shitfest is a pipe dream and we are heading for recession pretty quickly. Couple the huge increase in costs, demand for wage growth and with the huge drop in exports and services to EU, our main market, and we will see even bigger negative economic pressures hitting the UK soon. If nothing else this will be the death knell of the current incompetent shower of shits at No10.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 7:34 amSo far I'm down £3088 a year between NI rise, Energy, Council tax, mobiles - but that's not the full whack just yet on NI since it only took effect from the 8th and I get paid on the 15th. I wonder if the answer to why the Bumblecunt's officials were able to say he wasn't fined; is that the Met won't issue him a fine, until the Local Elections are out of the way ?

Get yourself to Euston Square and take the met line and you’ll be in Watford in about 45 minutes for £4 a pop. Still, a Hogwarts themed bus will be funEnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 7:28 pm Are you saying the official TFL.co.uk site has ill advised me. That just makes somethng else shite. well they may still get the experience of having their, stoned driver, driving head on at oncoming traffic, & attempting to squeeze between them, while the passengers are all praying to whatever deity ... but that's pretty bog standard ....Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 8:33 pmGet yourself to Euston Square and take the met line and you’ll be in Watford in about 45 minutes for £4 a pop. So, the Daily Heil has stuck 2 fingers up to Hoyle.

So on the Beeb this am they have stated there are reports 3 Tory MPs have given statements to thier Party about Commons terrace conversations with Rayner.
And their is a push back from the Tories trawling through Rayners old interviews.
One mentions Basic Instincts apparently.

I went on the Mail site to see what they are saying, this was "a sinister move to clip the Press's wings", there are bleatings about free speech, the same ones you always get from wankers who have just said something offensive.
Same old shite, it's all about rights and nothing about responsibilities - as was said in this thread already, they could have reported what was said but then condemned it. They chose not to do that.
I do think that this is yet another dead cat, though.

The reports all come from the Daily Heil trying to justify its story. They’ve obviously tasked their reporters to trawl through Rayner’s past interviews to see if they can find anything that supports their story.C69 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 7:11 am So on the Beeb this am they have stated there are reports 3 Tory MPs have given statements to thier Party about Commons terrace conversations with Rayner.

Be interesting to see who the Tories are who it is claimed heard these comments, given the statements yesterday that the person quoted by the Heil would be disciplined

Suspend their access, until they apologise. Simple !

Can’t help thinking they would like that to shift the victim narrative firmly in their favour. If they have outed themselves I am more interested in Boozo’s promise to terrorise them. Maybe a question or 2 today to hold him to it. That’d do wonders for party unity.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 8:01 am Suspend their access, until they apologise. Simple !

The Tories have to do something, or appear to do so; & if they piss off the hacks enough, we'll soon have the names of the MPs responsible leaked.
Slight tangent, but watched the Gazza documentary last night. It was tough going. Basically the tabloids (Piers Moron and Rebekah Wade) literally drove him mad and into his death spiral with their targeting of him through phone hacking and other means. Not one bit of contrition of course from them or the hacks for ruining him.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 8:48 amand the cozy relationships between tabloid hacks, & the Tories !PCPhil wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 8:26 amCan’t help thinking they would like that to shift the victim narrative firmly in their favour.
