We couldn’t make any ground of first phase and then even when the space was opening up on 3rd or 4th phase no one was available to make the runs, give Fin the calls etc, I put that squarely on Johnson not being there - it improved slightly when Redpath came on.

It didn’t help that Price looked really slow as well - I think he took a head knock in the first - 10.

And of course the stupid fucking penalties. We have the best defence in the tournament but still give away stupid penalties. It’s fucking madness

That's what gets me. Players arriving late at rucks and still trying to compete when they must know they have no bloody business to.

Hutchinson is still playing well in a largely hapless Saints side, I'd be interested to see what he could do outside Russell. More interested than Townsend is it seems.
