Indeed. Absolutely clueless in the field too.

Faf needs to go ASAP, blood some newbies like Rayno Van Tonder. Get Bavuma in at 3, Van der Dussen at 5.

MAKE MARKAM CAPTAIN!!

Fancy Torquemada showing up at a South African loss. Howzit boss, hope you're enjoying your schadenfreude. Still smarting from the French semi-final loss at RWC 1995 I see. Never mind, time heals everything. But for you it takes 25 years.

Jeez, the Lions and Titans are loaded with stars.

Lions 32 for one after the powerplay.

Morris bowling well, Shamzi into the attack.

Lions win on D/L.

Just seen the last over of the Cobras/Knights game.

Cobras bat first score 167, the highest score on this ground in this tourney.

Last ball, Knights need 4 runs to win.

Abrahams bowls a dot ball!

But he's overstepped! Miguel Pretorious hits the winning four off a free hit for the Freestaters!

Quite engaging cricket.

Dolphins get a surprise bonus point win over the Lions to go top of the log.

When I said that we don't have any stars, I forgot about Miller (who isn't very highly regarded in these parts anyway).

Miller is absolute dogshit. Just like Duminy was, play one blinder of an innings and then come the seven lean years.

Rinse Repeat

Seems to be doing ok here.

Dolphins are the only side unbeaten in the Round Robins and are well clear at the top with the bonus point against the Lions.

He has a better ODI average than Lance Klusener and Jonty Rhodes. His ODI and T20 average is better than Chris Gayle's. He's an IPL god making millions of dollars in India. And he's a Rhodes/Ponting class fielder who is a wicket taking threat through his catches and runouts.

And a better T20 average than Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Steve Smith and AB de Villiers. So I would say you're talking out your hoop again BN.

I don't think BN regards old fossils like Lance Klusener and Jonty Rhodes as proper cricketers.

Especially if they played for Natal.

Miller's standing in the IPL has dropped off somewhat in the last year and I think he only got a couple of outings for his team after being discarded by KXII.

However, I don't think his importance in any side can be overstated. Not only is he excellent in the field, but he's one of the most powerful hitters in the game and, although he doesn't come off every time, when he does he gives his side a fighting total.

My kid plays for Sunningdale cricket club. Whenever we play on the turf pitch at home you have to really batton down your gazebos or they get ripped or blown away. And there's no trees around the pitch for shade so it's brutal in the sun .... us parents were just wondering if there was a windier pitch in the Cape....

And a better T20 average than Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Steve Smith and AB de Villiers.
David Miller has probably batted too low in my opinion. He should be a 3 or 4 in T20's and ODI's. But yeah he could have been more consistent.

Our batting is in such a state. Miller at least show in this T20 he is a must. We need Chris Morris aswell.

Cobras lost all their Proteas and is in the start of a new cycle. The Titans played well beneath their usual standard and talent. The Dolphins had home advantage and choke badly in the final.

Well done to the Lions.

Too strong for most of the competition and I think our bonus point win over them just hilights the fickle nature of T20 cricket.

The two side that I expected to contest the final were the Lions and the Titans and the fact that the Titans failed to get out of the Round Robins accentuates the point.

I didn't manage to see the game as I was in the 'Berg.

Rumours are that Bavuma is going to take over the captaincy for the T20I and ODI teams from De Kock.

Then I suspect it'll be Markram for the test side.
